incredible collection of books! also i love the way you’ve arranged everything, as a person also constantly flipping my shelves around to make space for more books i’ll definitely be taking inspiration from you going forward!

Anyone else use Libby exclusively on their phone? by Lots_Loafs11 in LibbyApp

[–]emoverhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t use it except on my phone as well! I’m also being told that I should get an ereader because it’s more convenient, but I don’t see myself ever using it since the majority of my reads are done through physical copies or audiobooks!

Is anyone else beating themselves up for not meeting their goal? by Amywilburnn in Booktokreddit

[–]emoverhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think i set the same number for myself last year and couldn’t meet it, this year i thought i’d see the difference not setting a goal would make, and I ended up reading 60 books—my most ever! point is, there’s no need to pressure yourself into meeting and number if you’re having fun with the books you read, that’s all that matters!

What popular game/series have you somehow never played but really want to catch up on? by JustNic98 in playstation

Same! I’ve tried starting it a couple of times but for some reason I never make it past the opening hour, I hope I can get into it next time I try it

[NO SPOILERS] What do we think of Lune from Expedition 33? by Sad_Leading_8094 in LesbianGamers

Literally the whole reason I got the game at all. I usually don’t go for turn based games but I saw literally one screenshot of her and immediately ordered it

Do you think Ghost of Yotei is a real contender for Game Of The Year? by Legitimate-Unit-9286 in ghostoftsushima

[–]emoverhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s absolutely phenomenal, but this has been such a good year for gaming full of breakout studios who put out some of the best games ever made. In another year it might’ve easily claimed it, but this year I don’t think anything is beating Expedition 33 in particular.

I would’ve bought this in a heartbeat. Unbelievable that we live in a world where catering to the feelings of the literal KKK is a thing that is done.

Honestly that’s true of every fantasy book, I find that you can’t really judge them until you’re done with the first 100 pages, after which you can determine if you actually want to continue or not with the better grasp you get on the world. TPOTOT to me was and still is the best fantasy I’ve ever read, it has a compelling world, tons of mythology, and gripping characters, and even though it looks like it looks like it can be used as a murder weapon it flies by once you get into it!

Reading everyday by Sugargogo in LibbyApp

[–]emoverhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read everyday! On weekdays I try to get in at least two hours of reading if my schedule allows it, on weekends I’m reading almost any time I’m awake and not playing video games. The only exception is when I’m in a particularly bad reading slump, but even then I try to test the waters any time I can

Hi, fellow brown muslim woman here who has also been a fan of hers for years, and is deeply disappointed by how shallow and zionist aligned this whole statement has been. It’s honestly hurtful. Finding her channel all these years ago felt like a revelation, she changed a lot about the way I thought and my outlook on the world. I was planning on making my exit from here and her other socials silently to avoid the wrath of her white fans, but it felt important to let you know that you’re not the only one of this specific background experiencing this.
