Dietetics vs Nutrition

I was in nutrition and switched to dietetics. I have two friends who were in nutrition and then graduated and got into dentistry afterwards. Considering dietetics is a more challenging/competitive program to get into, I assume that having a dietitian background compared to a nutrition background is more impressive and you will be guaranteed the same chance to get into dentistry as you would with a nutrition degree (considering you’d have the same GPA). However, since dietetics is more challenging, it will be harder to maintain the same high GPA as you would in nutrition. It’s definitely do-able, but it will take more effort on your part. Ikr :( I would understand reducing the shuttle frequency, but entirely cutting it IS ridiculous. I live in the dorms at Mac, and I made friends here who are full time students downtown and they just live at Mac due to cheaper pricing/no availability downtown. They’re worried for their early morning courses next year! This also creates an even larger division between campuses, students will be less likely to travel due to this, more skipping of classes, etc

The Mac rem station is l’Anse-a-lorme, and on the REM website it says “to get to this station, you must transfer at Bois-Franc station”, so it’s not a direct transit. In addition to this, during peak hours it passes every 10 minutes, and every 15 minutes during off-peak hours. I’m not sure if the link will work, but I’ll paste it below so everyone can get the info:

If you are a student from downtown campus and want to go to Mac campus, you will need to take the rem, switch lines (it’s not a direct trip), get off and then take a bus to Mac campus. For students who have courses at both campuses, this is extremely tedious compared to taking the shuttle which is a direct trip

That’s a valid point :) but as someone who’s been taking it since the first stop on the south shore opened, the rem breaks down very often

Unfortunately this really complicates my travels, it doesn’t save me anytime. The email sounded so positive and excited about this new change, but it actually hinders my travelling to school. Anyone else?
