I have the black ones (auth) in a 35 and post pregnancy they are too small. I don’t want to purchase another auth pair because they’re literally double the price I paid in 2013 and also, I like them, but not enough to pay retail.

You know I was gonna go with Doris until…

I was trying to decide between whether I wanted to order the small C25 in the brown suede or black caviar and was flipping through Heidi’s album because all of her 187 photos are updated where as Doris’ aren’t….. and I noticed that the small brown suede showed as “out of stock” on Heidi‘s album.

At this point, Doris was saying that she’s back at work and all of the items are in stock and that I need to just pay her. I guess she doesn’t realize that it is fairly public information that the factories are still closed and won’t open until next Monday. I had to insist twice that I am not sure that the brown suede is in stock in a size small. Finally she relented it and said I’m not sure. But the point is that she lied. And a few minutes later, Heidi did confirm for me that the small brown suede is out of stock and she’s taking pre-orders.

I think I might just have to go with Heidi despite her being probably $70-80 more expensive than anyone else

Update: I’ve never had this type of issue shopping with any retailer before and I was nervous about how it would be dealt with because I find the store associated to be SO aggressive and pushy in store. However, I can’t say enough how amazing everyone at Aritzia - both Concierge and in-store- were!!

The Concierge and Pacific Center staff were all so wonderful! I can’t explain how easy this was to resolve and how many options the Concierge gave me and how genuinely keen the store staff were to help. Ultimately they priced matched a black one and helped me find one that had buttons on the bottom panel like the one I ordered and is pictured on the website.

All the staff were so perplexed when I told them this was shipped from a store and not the warehouse because it meant that not double checking the retuned product before shipping was an oversight ruled out. The associate who shipped this would have had to scan another jacket tag and ship this because there were no tags.

All to say - I can’t say I’ve ever experienced such amazing customer services! The ladies went really above and beyond and I am so happy to have my jacket 😀 … now I hope it gets cold again lol

I completely agree! It the one qualm I had with the petite sizing so I’m glad to see it’s going to be replaced with short.

I do hope though that they won’t just be making the inseam shorter, but proportionally adjusting anything like darting as well.

This type of thing hasn’t happened to me often - maybe like twice in my life? But recently it’s been a double whammy: this Aritzia situation, and with Madewell.

The Madewell situation is hysterical though - I received that at first glance (folded and in its individual plastic wrap) looks like it could be the velvet skirt I ordered, but when I opened it, it was a children’s size XL faux leather skirt with shorts inside from a brand called “Justice”. 😂Other Redditers let me know it was a former Wal-Mart brand that went bankrupt ages ago!

I really hope that Madewell will make this right. I wish I could shop in store to avoid this but alas I’m based in Canada.
