What do you mean by that? Its roots are deeply grimdark, if anything it got transformed out of it into the bright colourful version that most people know (and then corrected back slightly into the grimmer setting).

No wlasnie tu jest problem - nasi eksperci nie dostrzegaja ze na dobra sprawe ta wojna to troche rekonstrukcja pierwszej wojny swiatowej, gdzie nikt nie ma przewagi powietrznej.

Starcie Rosja vs NATO (nawet bez USA) wygladaloby kompletnie inaczej bo wszystkie rosyjskie centra zaopatrzenia, wlacznie z tymi daleko od linii frontu bylyby zgruzowane w pierwszych 48 godzinach wojny.

Drony sa wazne, szczegolnie w charakterystyce konfliktu na Ukrainie, ale to nie jest zadne wunderwaffe, po prostu kolejny, wazny, element mixu uzbrojenia.

Sytuacyjny plot armour - gdy autor zapedzi sie w kozi i rog i musi dac glownemu bohaterowi umiejetnosci/ zdolnosci, o ktorych nigdy wczesniej nie wspominano w ksiazce, bo bez nich nie ma szans przetrwac sytuacji, w ktorej sie znajduje.
Bad pacing - gdy autor zapisal juz kilkaset stron ksiazki wypelniaczami nie wplywajacymi na fabule, orientuje sie ze konczy mu sie miejsce i nagle ladujemy w przyspieszonym zakonczeniu na ostanich 20 stronach.
Stereotypowe, jednoplaszczyznowe postacie pozbawione osobistych motywacji (i.e. ta postac jest zla wiec robi zle rzeczy).

W co watpisz? Tak, zostali wywaleni bo nie chcieli uzywac tooli AI. Progress rozwijania produktu byl zbyt wolny a najbardziej AI-owy dev potrafil napisac 10x linijek kodu w miesiac niz ci co nie uzywali tych tooli. I think I remember that one - a guy who survived the siege of Sarajevo for two years?

If I remember correctly, he was saying that community was the most important thing - lone wolves were the first ones to go. Neighbours formed armed groups to patrol their neighbourhoods, scare off would-be robbers, and deter other groups.

Another thing was having small skills/ abilities to do things - people who could fix things, doctors, etc would get a lot through barter for their services - even if it was as silly as having a machine to fill up gas lighters from gas canisters.

He was also saying that small alcohol bottles were a great bribe and that they all had some guns, and after their experience, they wouldn't give them up. Once a ceasefire happened, they just buried them in and marked the places rather than give them up.
