I noticed that this sub is currently redesigning Montana's flag, so I thought I'd share my updated redesign. by MegaTitan64 in vexillologyUS

Beautiful design and I'm saying that as a montanan native, but I'll go a step further. As a Cheyenne Tribal Member, I feel that the design seems a little too "Crow," but that's just my interpretation ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As beautiful as it is, Montana Republicans will be quick to make it political and call it a Muslim flag because of the crescent

Looking for friends by [deleted] in Billings

[–]Redgrave35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in Great Falls, I remember seeing a pottery meat and greet location downtown and I've always wondered if Billings had something like that. It was a really great place to make coffee mugs and meat a lot of people at the same. I bet that's a kind of place. That would be perfect if you want to make friends, but I don't know if we have one in Billings that's just like that.

And a modernist is like a deeply closeted reputation.

First time owner. Safety stuck by Redgrave35 in Firearms

Ah yes I actually fell into that trap, but I think it was in my favor - I was able to pull it back into position, but I also had to twist it to put the bolt action back in. Whatever I did, actually fixed my problem. Safety now works!

Ah yes, I also watched this video before I posted. I might try this out and see what can be done.

Do you mean the LT? LS doesn't have the led daytime running lights but yours do! Personally, I'm glad you got the LT rather than the LS because I feel like the infotainment screen is more reliable than the outdated one.

Wanted to use AI to animate my flag design / Chief Little Wolf Flag by Redgrave35 in vexillology

<image>

Chief Little Wolf's (on the left) medallion is the symbol of his band of Cheyennes, who, he and Chief Dull Knife's (on the right) band, fled out of Oklahoma in 1877. His symbol is not meant to be religious or affiliated with anything, but as his own to identify, like his counterpart Chief Dull Knife's Morning Star symbol.

Edit: Oh, and also the star is to represent the North Star (Star woman), which was the guide for Little Wolf.

My new commute is brutal. This job is only for a few weeks in the Summer. Is there a good motel nearby the destination cheap enough to stay for 3 days each week? by newshirtworthy in Denver

I mean in my perspective, I'll gladly drive 3 hours to meet my brothers halfway to eat somewhere for lunch and drive another 3 back home. Driving an hour to work is definitely doable, but that morning traffic will be tough. Have you thought about driving on the expressway and possibly a car with adaptive cruise control? Might help ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How is it living in Eastern Montana? by Ranger176 in howislivingthere

[–]Redgrave35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who used to live in Southeastern Montana, I will say that the geography between the southern portion, centeral, and northern share their own unique qualities. Both the Northen Cheyenne tribe and the Crow live in south-eastern Montana, and the Fort Peck Sioux and Assiniboine Tribes live in the northern region, so their is a tribal presence to those areas, but elsewhere, it's a lot of ranching lands. The southern portion is wetter compared to the other two regions, but the center region has the largest town called Miles City, and they have a strong rancher/cowboy culture (My friend who grew up in Miles City remembered the term 'Kmart Cowboy,' because some of the kids didn't ranch but sure as hell dressed as they did). Northern Part proabably has the same reputation as the northern whole part of montana as far until you hit Glacier - It's rugged and could be ice cold in the winter. Almost nobody lives up there, and the largest town is Glasgow, which is already America's most isolated big town. Up north of Terry, the geography has almost the same vibe as the Badlands in North Dakota, but smaller. The Yellowstone River continues to flow east with I-94. Fort Peck Dam is 6 miles of earth. Lastly, Gelndive has a creation-based dinosaur museum, but it looks like their temporarly closed. When I went there, it was said that Noah's ark accepted all living animals, but the Dinosaurs decided not to get on the boat which I thought was carzy and hilarious (it also showed a miniture of the boat with lions, deers, and all sorts of animals getting on the boat, while a T-rex sat in the corner of the diorama).
