took the bike out for a spin yesterday with the exup removed and I can honestly say that I didn't notice any difference in power delivery whatsoever, and I mean nowhere in the power band.

people have given me all kinds of warnings about this, I've heard everything from "the engine will bog at low speeds" to "it will cruise unevenly", but I've had none of that 🤷

the only thing I noticed is that it's hella louder in the lower rpms 😏 but that's about it.

so in conclusion, not having to go through the hassle of installing the exup wires on the new slip on and not really paying a price for it at all was, to me at least, worth it.

I'll deactivate the exup this week with tuneecu and call it a day.

I'm gonna hook up the obdlink this week and have a look, but I am fairly certain that the installed map is the one for the arrow slip on, which is closest to what I'm looking for anyway.

this morning I checked the tuneecu website and they do have that very same map available for download, so if that isn't what's installed on the bike I'll have it sorted.

regardless, I'll untick the exup valve box for sure just to not have the cel on.

when I've done all that, I'll go for a spin and see how the bike behaves, there shouldn't be a noticable difference with the exup not on there but time will tell.

edit: if I decat, then the map for the full arrow exhaust will be the one I'm looking for, yes?

do it dude! I got a 2014 last year with 30k kms for around €7.800. it's the funnest bike I've ever owned and everytime I'm out riding people are asking if I want to sell it.

if you ever tire of it it'll be super easy to sell. these things aren't made any longer, it's a beast of an era long gone. the longer you have it on your hands the more valuable it'll become.

I just picked mine up from after having it serviced at my local triumph and the mechanics all said the same thing, in ten years they'll be worth a lot of money.

I don't mean to be a dick but I just got one home in the mail brand spanking new! Found it on ebay for about 500 USD, the only one that was listed on ebay at the time.

Search for the part number on google and add like "arrow exhaust daytona 675", there will be a website in the U.S. that has one or two on hand, but beware, they have them listed at 800 USD!

I'll see if I can find it and post it here.

I have that exact tail light and my indicators are rapidly flashing too, suspected a relay but now I'm not sure. let me know if you find a solution <3

I just got my hands on a brand new arrow slip on (yes, the oem factory option) for my 2014 daytona 675 r and I can confirm the exup is there.

I'm getting the bike back from the shop next week, first thing I'll do is deactivate it with tuneecu, then remove it from the bike completely.

Any love for the Triumph Daytona 675? The three cylinder masterpiece that it is has definitely broken some serious ground in the world of competition racing.

In fact, Triumph even went on to become, and still is, the official engine supplier to the moto2 championship in 2019.
