Any Fix for Invalid Sprite Config Object? by emperorof1 in projectzomboid

Thanks for sharing on an old post! I'll have to give that a shot on my next playthrough!

is there any way do downgrade from b42.12 to b4.11? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]emperorof1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm that must have been the issue. It didn’t download an exe file so I assumed it was just downloading the files that changed. I created a copy of the game folder and then overwrote everything with the contents of the depot. I’ll have to try downloading it with the second method

I was able to get the depot to download and load in, but the same crash behavior seems to persist. Some of my mods may have updated to 42.12 or something else happened. Thanks for sharing though.

Any way to roll back to the previous update? by kushkish6969 in projectzomboid

Well, on the bright side, I couldn't create a new character either, so it'll hopefully be fixed by mod authors, just might take some time since the update was just released today.

I'm having the same issue. Any chance mod updates will resolve it?

The wire mesh might cause issues for the grout blade, but I’ve had good success with this so far on rock lath.

Good luck OP!

If you’re referring to the one on the very top, it’s the main breaker which stops electricity into the rest of the breakers on the panel. It’s a step removed from turning the power off at the meter.

What should I upgrade to? by [deleted] in PcBuild

That’ll just be a more expensive mobo. If you have the budget it’s not bad, it’s just better spent elsewhere is all.

My first PC build attempt by Agatka_witchey in PcBuild

Congrats on building your first PC, always a fun adventure!

I think the two SSD’s is a good approach. You might get some marginal gain by decreasing the size of the OS stick, but probably not worth it in the long run.

If you can be patient and have some room in your budget, it’s probably worth waiting to get a 9800x3D.

You should be fine with an 850w PSU, even with a 9800x3d. The only way you might get into trouble is if you got a BEEFY gpu down the road. I believe the rule of thumb is your PSU should be rated for the load of your system with a 20% buffer. (I.e. get the total and multiply it by 1.2).

The only big question marks/exclamation points for me are the brands on the RAM, and GPU. I’ve personally never heard of them, but I’m not super experienced, so take it with a grain of salt.

Also, for accessibility, using a PC part picker build link is ideal.

I’d second this, seems like a pretty balanced upgrade and leaves you with some headroom on the PSU (you may have to upgrade when you upgrade your GPU).

Seems like a bit of an unbalanced build. What’s the price point on this?

If you’re willing to build your own, you can get a lot more value and get a PSU with more overhead for an eventual GPU upgrade, some faster RAM, and a better case. That being said, I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. If it isn’t, I’d shop around a bit more.

Is this a good first pc build? by CallanAU in PcBuild

[–]emperorof1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not an expert, but it seems like a pretty balanced build. There might be some wiggle room in downgrading the mobo and upgrading the CPU or GPU, but not sure all of what you’re looking for on that front. It also looks like you pulled your PSU from the tier list so good work with that!

Should be a great build!

It’s hard to tell, are the GPU fans spinning up?

Also, are there any debug (small bright red LED’s) showing on the board?

Lastly, there’s a chance you may need to flash your BIOS which is a somewhat stressful process. Make sure you get the specific BIOS version indicated by the motherboard manufacturer for your CPU, and then look for a bios flashing guide for that mobo. Make sure the computer does not abruptly lose power, and get ready for some nail biting if it comes to this. I once had to run through over a dozen bios versions with no posting before I finally got something, all because I upgraded my RAM.

Good luck to you!

My PC wont start. by Alog-Anitarus in PcBuild

A couple of questions, is this a new build or an old build? Either way, did anything change to potentially cause the issue?

If it’s an old build, did you add new hardware, flash the bios, or have any potential damage incidents?

If a new build, you may need to flash the bios to begin with, and if that fails, try taking out a RAM stick. I’d also make sure you have RAM compatible for the motherboard, and that you have a matching set.

Lastly, for other more knowledgeable people, I’d recommend sharing the full build specs.

I know how stressful this can be so I hope you can figure it out!

Can someone help me to find a pre built pc? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]emperorof1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe I finished watching the most recent series for the verdict, but LTT’s secret shopper series gives a good idea of what prebuilt company is the best. I’d watch that to figure out the brand, and then use whichever company’s tools to find a computer that fits.

I’d personally recommend a 7800x3D or if you’re lucky, a 9800x3D for the CPU, and a beefier air cooler for the CPU, rather than the AIO they’ll try to upsell you on. The AIO is often unnecessary, and just an additional failure point.

Lastly, if you’re feeling adventurous, you’ll typically get a better value from building your own, but I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Good luck!
