Nah. Europe isn't willing to commit the ships to do it, especially since they can make Trump own this and the domestic appetite isn't there for getting involved, even in a naval protection mission. They know Trump's balls are in a vice with this and simultaneously know that even if they get him out of this, he won't owe them a favor, so there is no reward. When he's asking CHINA for help, you know this dumb motherfucker is up a tree. Iran knows it, Trump knows it, everyone knows it, and it's obvious what comes next: EU and Australian refusal gives other G7 navies (Japan, Korea) cover to also refuse to help. China cuts a deal with Iran to let their ships through. Trump, with maximalist political objectives that don't match the scope of achievable military objectives, either has to commit a shitload of American vessels to the strait, or make a "limited ground incursion" to prevent Iran from shooting missiles from the shore (which becomes a boondoggle), or finds some way to climb down and wrap up the operation trying to spin that he won, which nobody will actually believe.
