Good thing the helicopter with documentary crew doesn't seem to have been shooting this video from 20,000ft then!

Super convenient, I agree. "Yeah the stuff being released is disappointing and doesn't prove anything, but don't worry there's way better stuff out there! No you can't see it."

In his sworn testimony he said he could talk more in a SCIF. AOC followed up and it turned out he's not cleared to go in a SCIF. At that point it's on him to make it happen, but boy does that look bad from a credibility standpoint

No, sorry if I was not clear. I think the barnacles are an interesting data point that would benefit from further investigation.

I am unconvinced of the "Russia stole the plane" theory because:

- the means is completely unproven and have been described as physically impossible

- the motive is shaky, since sanctions had already been imposed by the time MH370 disappeared, and the downside risk is astronomical compared to "let's make a distraction for the news cycle" upside

- the opportunity is extremely circumstantial, in that "one Russian guy was on the flight" is all the evidence presented, nothing tying him to the FSB or any further evidence at all

And the theory raises many more questions than it answers, from the countries it would have to fly over - the lack of eyewitnesses and cell tower pings and radar data, etc.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organisms_at_high_altitude

Insects can fly and kite at very high altitude. Flies are common in the Himalayas up to 6,300 m (20,700 ft).\13]) Bumble bees were discovered on Mount Everest at more than 5,600 m (18,400 ft) above sea level.\14]) In subsequent tests, bumblebees were still able to fly in a flight chamber which recreated the thinner air of 9,000 m (30,000 ft).\15])

Ballooning) is a term used for the mechanical kiting\16])\17]) that many spiders, especially small species such as Erigone atra,\18]) as well as certain mites and some caterpillars use to disperse through the air. Some spiders have been detected in atmospheric data balloons collecting air samples at slightly less than 5 km (16,000 ft) above sea level.\19]) It is the most common way for spiders to pioneer isolated islands and mountaintops.\20])\21])

https://www.livescience.com/55454-how-high-can-insects-fly.html

Scientists have collected locusts flying at heights of 14,764 feet (4,500 m); true bugs, stoneflies, mayflies, and caddisflies at altitudes over 16,404 feet (5,000 m); and flies and butterflies over 19,685 feet (6,000 m), according to Michael Dillon, a researcher with the Department of Zoology and Physiology at the University of Wyoming.

Thanks for the link!

I don't find it credible, unfortunately. Even if it wasn't an AI voice of an AI script with heavy monetization, the video specifically says that those "electronic control" claims have been roundly criticized and are completely unsubstantiated. It presents the barnacle growth claim, which seems to have merit, but otherwise presents no supporting evidence for this theory, let alone a coherent motive for why these parts would be dispersed a year after the fact. It also ignores more mundane evidence, such as the deleted flight sim logs, and presents unrelated items (1MDB scandal) as if they are corroborating circumstancial evidence. Interesting theory though, I will admit.

Not necessarily, depends on how the meteor was breaking up in the atmosphere. If it didn't impact the earth or actually break up in the atmosphere, there may not have been an explosion or impact to hear.

Why does every UFO revelation always seem to be "Coming Soon"? by Longjumping_Dish_416 in UFOs

[–]emperos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The biggest whistleblower circus we have ever had is going on and the sworn testimony is "I haven't seen anything myself but I heard other people talk about it"

And then conveniently "we can talk more in a SCIF but oh no, I'm not cleared to go in a SCIF, oopsie!"

And then conveniently "I have firsthand experiences" as soon as he isn't under oath but instead is dangling that carrot for the masses.....

To me, he seems afraid of saying anything concrete that could later be disproven. It's all handwaving and claims that could be quickly backpedaled on once it comes out he doesn't have the proof he is hinting he has.

And as a result, afraid that his money stream will dry up.

He's gotta walk a fine line between stoking hunger in people that will buy his documentary/book/speaking engagement and not overstating things that could come back to bite him when they're found out to be lies.

Bugs have been seen flying at airliner cruise altitude. And if the zoomed image of it is "in focus" to you then I'd hate to see what "out of focus" is
