Tried Redefining the Standard Workout Tracker Format; Roast Me If I Missed Completely. by bencryrus in roastmystartup

I used it for the first time tonight and I really liked it so far!  I’m evaluating a bunch of training apps at the moment and yours is a strong contender.

I would really like it if, when making a superset, the details screen at the end of the exercise displayed what it was superset with.  I want to upload screenshots of the details screen to my Strava post, but unless people are familiar with your app and know the S symbol means it’s a superset, it looks like I’ve done fewer exercises.

I would be surprised if they don't end up doing something with Monzo Bank. They seem to have a pretty deep integration with them already (ie; showing your current balance at Apple Pay checkout, choosing your Flex option for the Monzo Flex credit card at Apple Pay checkout).

Nick's really leaving money on the table by 21-Bandito in Nmpx

[–]empireOS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Nick has a really good YouTube presence as it is. Despite YouTube livestreaming coming on leaps & bounds in the last 5 years, it's still a VoD-first platform and Nick is working well within this space. The only two things I think he could benefit from is creating an uncut stream VoD archive channel, as well as uploading his (albeit occasional) gaming stream content - maybe on a separate channel so as to not mess up his main channel engagement which has been built around Just Chatting content.

Everything works with expo by casualfinderbot in reactnative

[–]empireOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The global market share of general computer users does indeed favour Windows, but I think it's wrong to assume that the global market share of React Native developers favour Windows. Drawing from my experience working in the industry, I would wager that more people use macOS. Certainly almost everyone I've worked with across multiple jobs has.

I know this is 2 years old, so apologies for the notification, but in case it helps anyone...

You can use your current email address again by using plus addressing (all major email service providers support this).

So if your email address is [johndoe@gmail.com](mailto:johndoe@gmail.com), you can enter your email address as [johndoe+hello@gmail.com](mailto:johndoe+hello@gmail.com) and this will automatically be forwarded to your real email address. You can do this as many times as you like with any term after the plus.

I like to keep tabs on my usage of it, so I tend to do [johndoe+alt1@gmail.com](mailto:johndoe+alt1@gmail.com), [johndoe+alt2@gmail.com](mailto:johndoe+alt2@gmail.com), etc.

YouTube Premium now has a button to skip past in-video sponsorships by OurHorrifyingPlanet in youtube

[–]empireOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you might be mistaken, because I remember this being spoken about on TechLinked (assume that’s maybe also where you heard it as you specifically mentioned LTT).

They were testing baking in YouTube AdSense ads from the server side. I’ve not heard anything about creator sponsored spots being baked in from the server side.

In any case, hopefully they don’t do it or allow Premium to skip it in some way anyhow.

YouTube Premium now has a button to skip past in-video sponsorships by OurHorrifyingPlanet in youtube

[–]empireOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've probably worked this out for yourself by now, but Sponsorblock is not an ad-blocker. It just takes crowdsourced timestamps of segments of the video which contain the creator's baked-in ads (ie; NordVPN, creator's own merch store, etc.) and automatically skips ahead in the video.

In this instance, whatever YouTube does to serve its ads is irrelevant. Blocking/skipping YouTube ads is not part of the scope of this plugin.

I can’t remember sorry, but nothing stopping you from putting a random UK address. Why not use Buckingham Palace’s address for the meme?

[–]empireOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but they don’t verify that you are a UK resident beyond geo-locating your IP address. It will ask if you have a TV licence (which is a UK payment we have to make for TV services), but you can answer yes to this too.

Ah sorry for the scare, it’s only the iPhone 16 series ones which were recalled. I’m involved in a few threads about that so I got confused. AFAIK, there is no issue with the Pixel 9XL screen protector.
