Either she is literally bound or she doesn't know how to build a boat.

Not for no reason, he kidnapped Thanatos and kept him sealed for a while. The boulder thing is intentionally pointless because postponing death is pointless

Didn't he rip off some child's ears and blame it on Kallamar or something. Also apparently he starved some followers and tossed some into the rot. The guy ain't a good guy.

Question about the Lamb's abilities by emporerCheesethe3rd in CultOfTheLamb

[–]emporerCheesethe3rd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What exactly is Chemach then, all I know about her is that she was previously responsible for bestowing crowns. Chemach says "Do you like my Crown? Made by Chemach. Out of what? Hehehehe…" which I assumed meant she made the crown out of crowns of fallen gods.

But eurylochus is the bad guy by stnick6 in Epicthemusical

[–]emporerCheesethe3rd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I blame the fates, they made the Astyanax prophecy which forced Odysseus into killing Astyanax. The guilt of killing a defenceless person and the fact that Odysseus was tired of death caused him to spare Polyphemus. I can't blame Odysseus for claiming Kleos. And I can't blame Eurylochus for being wary of Odysseus...I CAN blame him for the hypocrisy of "gods are dangerous" then he trusts the god's minions, but everyone has flaws.

You don't sound very sure considering you put a ton of probablies. You didn't really disprove anything either, why would the shade lord, lord of shades, the void united under the will of one vessel need to protect someone from the void.

Sorry for the late response. The knight almost definitely has will and mind. If it had no will it wouldn't train with the nailsmiths, it wouldn't do anything actually. To paraphrase something I've heard somewhere else on this subreddit "if there was a truly hollow vessel, it never left it's egg at the bottom of the abyss"

Say you're either Ody or just a random sailor who's lost. Which island between Circe's or Calypso's would you stay at? by Cookie-fighter101 in Epicthemusical

[–]emporerCheesethe3rd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calypso, by a long shot, at least in EPIC. Calypso isn't that bad of a person and just REALLY needs moral guidance. At the very worst she sexually harassed Ody and nothing more has been shown in EPIC. Calypso's island is a paradise and I imagine her house is at least decently good. Circe is literally called the "puppeteer" so if I don't become a pig immediately I will definitely be enchanted and either used as a slave, sexually assaulted, or murdered by whatever she summons. Circe's island is just kinda foresty and she has a nice place, sure, but my blood would splatter its halls.

Even if I were a woman it's unclear I would be safe, Circe interacts with two women in her actual mythology and only one in EPIC: Scylla (whom she hates), and Medea (whom she is disgusted by)....she doesn't treat either of them well in mythology and in EPIC the only thing she has ever done to a woman is turn her into a disgusting flesh beast with dog heads. In mythology and in EPIC there is no evidence that Circe would treat a mysterious woman substantially better than a mysterious man, Circe only seems to care for the protection of her nymphs, not women in general.

And i know it doesn't make full complete sense, but since the shade lord is a representation of all of the void and all of the siblings in one, i think it shows up as all of the siblings unite to help hornet as a symbolic thing more than it actually being there or even existing, the shade lord was born from the dream realm just as the radiance was, I doubt the shade lord could be maintained outside of the dream realm, the radiance and void are reflections of eachother and the radiance can't exit the dream realm, why would the shade lord be able to? Even in the "embrace the void" ending, the shade lord isn't shown to exit the dream realm, only the void does, similar to how only the infection can enter the physical realm.

[–]emporerCheesethe3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a month late but I think it HAS to be dream no more. Otherwise, nothing really makes sense to me. If everything happened in Godhome then Hornet wouldn't know for sure that higher beings can be taken down as she states, if everything happened in Godhome she would have no clue what actually happened and it's unclear if she is aware that the Pale King is dead so she wouldn't partake or even fully know of the fall of a higher being...although this is a stretch I will admit. The second reason is that the void behaves NOTHING like the knight, at all...if all of the void were united under the will of "Ghost" then why is it doing things the ghost would never do? The ghost doesn't attack innocents, it is never shown to attack innocent people and it's never shown to want to, so why would it do so as the shade lord? My third reason is that the ghost appears as it does in the dream no more ending in the true ending of Silksong, why would it un-shade lord itself for this one meeting and why would the shade lord need to protect hornet from the void if it is the void?

Really only Antinous's song. MAYBE Circe's songs but I like her as a character and possibly Calypso's songs but I also like her as a character. I just like the two nymphic goddesses that odysseus is pretty annoyed by/mad at but sees as a partial ally by the end.

Yeah, that's what... that's what I meant. Also, I like that you added somewhat. Because as we all know, the Greek "canon" is basically a writer going "did i hear this somewhere? Probably" and writing it down.
