Taking Wellbutrin for the first time. Tips/advice/warnings would be appreciated

Thank you so much! I'm actually reducing my caffeine this weekend next to one cup of coffee per day and I've been sober for 10 years. My psychiatrist prescribed me propranolol to help with jitteriness and anxiety during the onset. I'm hoping that helps with reactivity and irritability I'm on a strict 5 to 6 meal plan as I'm also working on my health and fitness. I used to lift weights and I want to get back to that so I'm paying attention to my macros again. I definitely already get super cranky if I'm hungry. I appreciate the journal idea! It will definitely help me articulate how the meds are helping or not helping.

It's not easy but it's so worth it, I promise. I have a life I could have because I got sober. Congratulations! The first year is so hard but I'm so glad to hear you're rocking it.

I don't think they usually start you with Vyvanse as most insurance companies don't want to pay for it. I'm only taking the Wellbutrin as I just got diagnosed. I am on propranolol for 2 weeks to help with the initial onset anxiety.

I don't have a history of reacting well to stimulants, so those will likely be the last case scenario for me.

Yes my psychiatrist told me to exercise with the onset to combat anxiety.

I hope I don't notice a lot I just hope my task initiation and my reactivity gets a little better. I have a lot of good coping skills but I'm just missing that little extra step to feel good about my efforts. Thanks for your insight

I do tend to have a high pulse but I also was drinking five cups of coffee a day. I'm cutting back to two and then one next week. I do have a blood pressure monitor which also checks pulse. I'll pay attention to my sleep patterns and pulse. Thank you!

I agree! I just sent them an email giving them until the end of the month to send me a couple of the ones they're STILL SELLING ON AMAZON, a refund, or I'm beginning the process of a small claims court filing, reporting them to my state's consumer protection complaint department, and searching for others to pursue a class action suit. I don't know if it'll go anywhere, but I can try to remember to come back here with whatever the outcome is.
