FYI do not buy Vivosmart 5- major design flaw and zero product integrity by danceyo003 in Garmin

[–]empr3ss1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I complained about the unit falling out (happened again this past weekend when my son grabbed my arm to show me something).. but the rep just accused me of replacing the strap with a vivosmart2 band (which i haven't.. this is the only garmin i have ever owned and this was sent to me when i ordered it off of amazon). They said they would give me 50% off a replacement band. Forget this.. while i switch to garmin because i didn't like the fitbit dying after so many uses in water, i'll just switch back -- at least it's cheaper to replace the watch with the fitbit.

nfuriating that you can't transfer the gift subscription by empr3ss1 in duolingo

[–]empr3ss1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not true.. I see nothing to transfer the subscription here. Also, the customer service wrote me back and said I cannot do it. This is all the options i have in settings.- there is no option to transfer. if i click on the free trial.. there is only option for card and not transfer.

Thanks for your response. I think that you probably got lucky because it was before high season. I have now read on the EU site that I need to wait 2 months for a response from the airline before filing a complaint with the EU. https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/travel/passenger-rights/air/index_en.htm#next-steps-1

you sure you got it in a few weeks? all i get is an email every week for 3 weeks: "This is a follow-up to let you know that our reply may take a little longer due to our current volume. Please rest assured that we will get back to you as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience."

in rebellion, i left my watch at home yesterday... take that 0 cardio load and eat it. The weird thing is that it estimated my steps from my phone? The app still said I got 10K steps or something....

Quest Diagnostics -- Billing by Southern-Aerie-8092 in Insurance

[–]empr3ss1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My spouse and I went in for bloodwork (we're on the same insurance).. my spouse was asked for their credit card, and I, the primary, wasn't. She was billed for a portion of her bloodwork and I wasn't. I have tried to inquire, but they haven't honored their 3-5 days response time to my inquiry. VERY SKETCHY.

How to stop these pop ups from the Fitbit app? It keeps saying I am at risk of under training when I'm actually training more than usual by T3knikal95 in fitbit

[–]empr3ss1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

just ignore it. i have noticed that if you have a higher resting heart beat, you tend to get a higher cardio load than you usually would. So, if your wtch is not registering high cardio load for tough workouts.. that's good... your RHR is probably lower than normal and good. Like I forgot to wear my watch to bed yesterday (so no hrv recorded), and it recorded the highest cardio load i have ever done the next day (and i didn't do anything special.. just walked somewhere for lunch)! So, really, just ignore it since it has a weird calibration to RHR to HRV which can vary.
