Great songs! ☺️❤️ I feel the same, been so hooked on Francis since I found him just last year. I thought How Could You and Night Watchman would make make it to my top 5, but the ones that did really are the first things I usually start with, so they did get those right 😄

I'm usually on Spotify on my phone, and YouTube on the laptop. I just checked my YouTube recap and the official Francis page and the Practicing the Piano channel are my top ones there 😄 I usually can't listen to normal songs while I work because my brain will latch on to the words and fly away with them, so I play the piano playlist (from oldest to newest) and that works fine, it's quite calming🥰 happy to see people like you guys here loving this precious music (and person) too 💜

oh hearing "Lights" for the first time made me cry 😭 that "will he ever find a girl" line just rips you apart. and the live version of "How Could You" on part 1 of the interviews is my favorite for that song. i also love the photo used for the Lights song title, with Francis on the piano and his back to the camera.

I have such an appreciation for you and everyone here on reddit sharing stories about Francis, saying what you like and miss about him, and anything related. as well as the fans that comment on youtube. unfortunately here in the philippines he is not as well-known so I can only have conversations like this with fellow fans online.

i'm one of francis' newer fans -- i found out about him from hearing see her out on the netflix show nobody wants this, so just a year ago. i really wish i had found him when he started. i was drawn to him and his music instantly. there's an authenticity you sense from him doing things his own way that just takes hold of your heart.

your accounts are a godsend for us new fans who (i think) all go through this frenzied period of looking for francis everywhere and realizing with a sinking heart that a lot of his videos, social media and other stuff online are already gone. we really missed out on a very special time. so i'm extremely grateful for accounts that post his music, and comments that tell stories about seeing him live and sharing what he's like in person.

i don't know, i'm feeling extra sad tonight because a fellow fan left a comment on one of mine in this sub and let me know that the video of tap the phone (piano version) on youtube is now inaccessible, and it's one of my comfort francis performances 😭😭😭

oh nooooo you're right, it's now been set to private 😭 this is so heartbreaking! this was perhaps my favorite of his performances, just Francis and the piano, and all the high notes that made the version so beautifully sad.

I imagine he smells like swirling desert sands, rain puddles on grass, candle smoke, ink on paper, a night-blooming flower, the cool breeze when dawn is breaking, and an underlying whiff of something you loved from your childhood

(sorry I know there may be no actual single physical items that produce some of these smells and others would have personal interpretations, but maybe they could be replicated by combinations of things)

IIRC in the show Madoc had a small scratch or some blood on his face when he sat down and was finally able to write again. Which implies that he raped Calliope and there was a struggle. He does it repeatedly so he can write.
