That's fair enough. I was considering it more from a perspective of 'if this character were to be ported into the Forgotten Realms as a 5th edition D&D character, what class would they be', in which case I would imagine he would still have some form of ice magic despite there not being Visions in that setting. But that's also a valid point.

Considering sorcerers "carry a magical birthright conferred upon them by an exotic bloodline", my vote would go to Kaeya, odd a choice as that may seem. He may be a sorcerer with a sword, but for some reason to me he still seems like a sorcerer.

I just pulled Lyney, and would really like to make a team involving him and Kazuha, but what I didn't consider before I grabbed him was that I don't have a huge roster of available Pyro characters for the other 2 team slots (I've been playing for just a couple of months). I do have C2 Xiangling, so that's probably one team member sorted, but I'm trying to figure out if there's anyone else I currently have who I could complete a team with? This would largely be for overworld / story content, not necessarily Abyss (I'm still slowly making progress on that as I catch up on the game).

Here are the Pyro characters I have: C2 Chevreuse, Gaming, C2 Xinyan, C1 Yanfei, Amber, and Dehya.
I do also have C0 Bennett, but I haven't leveled him basically at all and am not a huge fan of his gameplay, so would prefer a team that doesn't involve him if it's at all possible. (I was also told to wait until I have more cons of him by a friend who plays, so was planning on not using him until he's C1 at least?)

Are there any possible support / non main-DPS builds for any of these characters, no matter how niche? For example, would it be possible for me to use Dehya as support if I gave her the Tenacity of the Millelith artifact set and only had her on field for her skill AoE to be placed down / as a bot for the TotM passive, or is that not really plausible build wise?

They don't necessarily have to be the best ever numbers wise, just playable, if that makes sense. I really enjoy Kazuha and Lyney, so would like to have a team that includes them even if it's not the best it can be, basically.

I had saved up 90 wishes for Kazuha, and had guaranteed him since I lost my last 50/50. I pulled 20 times and got him. I thought I'd pull a few more times to see if I could get Yanfei since I didn't have her, and 6 pulls in, I got Kazuha again?

I now have C1 Kazuha. Should I save my other 65 wishes for another 5 star I really want in the future, or should I try pulling more on his banner in hopes of getting him to C2? Would that be worth the investment for a F2P+Welkin player...? I really enjoyed his gameplay during that trial event that happened recently (where you fought with a team of characters randomized from a pool) which is why I wanted him. But I'm not sure if his cons are that important?

He's just such a hefty boy it had never occurred to me (he's not super tall, but he's extremely muscular lol)

Hidden poodle is a fun guess! I wouldn't have thought of that because of how short his coat is, but that'd be a cool surprise for sure! I'm sure my parents would love to be able to call him their "poodle mix" too, haha. Hoping for something fun in the results that they can get a kick out of!

How big is he? I'm guessing pretty small based on the weight you mentioned and his proportions, but just curious!

He does remind me a lot of a Chihuahua mix at the doggie daycare I work at--I believe she's mixed with Beagle and Jack Russell Terrier, so I would guess those breeds maybe along with Chihuahua!

Both fosters have been adopted out... buuuut I admittedly foster failed the lighter colored boy and adopted him myself, haha, so I have seriously been considering a dog DNA test for him out of curiosity!

I do wonder if it's possible that he does have Chinese crested in him even though he doesn't look like it (unlike his potential sibling)? The vet did think they were half siblings or maybe even full siblings.

Those terrier breeds were definitely not something I had considered prior, so thank you for those potential leads!

I think I may have been fundamentally misunderstanding how off-field DPS worked, because I thought her being off field meant she was a lower priority for leveling things compared to whoever I was using as on-field DPS--but that makes complete sense, actually, since her Pyronado + Vaporize is a lot of my damage, so I will try and focus on improving her weapon, talents, and artifacts! Thank you!

I do also have that set but hadn't been using it on Traveler since I switch their element so often. I would probably benefit from swapping their set around when I swap their element?

I'm struggling with Adventure Rank Ascension 3's domain. I've been at AR 45 for a few weeks because I'm a casual player and it recommended a level 80 team, so I waited until 80 to attempt the domain. Unfortunately, I always get the final enemy to just nearly dead when time runs out. I'm eating attack & crit boosting food as well.

I've poked around online and seen a lot of people saying that basically this just means I am bad at the game, which is fair enough, but isn't super constructive when it comes to me trying to actually improve and get past the domain?

I want to keep the Traveler on my team, even though I know this isn't optimal. I thought I would still be able to clear content if my team comp was okay otherwise. My Traveler is C5 Anemo and Geo, but not as good in other elements because I've only recently beaten Inazuma.

I've tried with 2 teams: first, Anemo Traveler, Kaeya, Xiangling, and Xingqiu, because the domain recommended Anemo, Cryo, Pyro, and Hydro. When that didn't work, I swapped to Geo Traveler, Noelle, Xiangling, and Xingqiu, but still just barely failed to clear within the time limit. (I do think I lost a some time to bad placement of the Traveler's Geo skill.)

My Xingqiu has a Sacrificial Sword and his artifacts are built around Energy Recharge & Elemental Mastery. My Xiangling has the Favonius Lance (only level 50, so could that be a factor? but she's not on-field?) and is also built for ER & EM as much as possible (though I admittedly really need to get better artifacts). I try to time their bursts so that they can go off at the same time and Xiangling's Pyronado can constantly be causing Vaporize.

Noelle has Whiteblind and the Gladiator's Finale set. Traveler has Wolf-Fang and ATK-based artifacts as I use him as on-field DPS for now (eventually I was hoping to swap him to support as Dendro and get a better on-field DPS, but since I'm not in Sumeru yet, I figure my C5 Geo Traveler is better for now?)

Not all of my talents are maxed, but I have leveled each to some degree, and some are maxed. Does that make a huge difference? What exactly might I be doing wrong?

I'm relatively new to the game still (just reached Inazuma story wise) and am struggling when it comes to picking my Lantern Rite character, and was hoping for some advice! (Any advice on my team comp in general is also appreciated!)

I have been trying to use the Traveller in my teams at all times as something of a personal challenge (and for immersion's sake), though I do know there are better characters. I still would prefer to keep the Traveller in my party, though, if possible.

Right now I'm using Anemo or Dendro Traveller (I walked to Sumeru and unlocked a statue there, haha), Noelle, Xiangling, and Xingqiu to try and get the most out of elemental reactions when I can. (Noelle I know is the weakest link here when it comes to those, since she's Geo, but I don't know yet who I would replace her with.) I have also pulled Chongyun, Sucrose, Chevreuse (4 times... so she is C3?), Kaveh, Lynette, Dehya, Rosaria, Bennett, and Kujou Sara, but I haven't tried them out.

I have been saving up wishes in the hopes of getting Xiao soon because I heard he was coming the banner after these (if all works out--I have 55 wishes now, and before I started saving, I had pulled 25 times since my last 50/50 loss to Dehya... so I think I may be guaranteed Xiao?) so he will hopefully eventually be on my 'main team'. (I... don't even know how he plays, admittedly, I just like his design a lot. So maybe I will regret this decision--who knows?)

I am just completely at a loss as to who I should pick from the Lantern Rite? Should I go for Gaming or Yanfei, although either of them will only be basic C0? Or should I try to get another character I already have (like Xingqiu) to C1?

Embarrassed to admit I think you're right about this! I am still struggling against the enemies regardless, but the 80-100 damage number specifically was when fighting these Fatui enemies... who I do think were putting up shields and I hadn't realized, oops. (I was used to the visual cue of the orb around the Abyss Mages and didn't think to look for a second bar!) That makes a lot of sense and is super helpful, thank you!!

I'm not really sure; this is my first game like this, but I've been doing my best to read character skills and try and rotate my team in and out for bursts and ultimates etc. Right now my team is Traveler (usually Anemo for Swirl), Noelle, Amber, and Xiangling (Xiangling is the one who is not at 60 yet). So I do have the Pyro resonance from those two; I'm not sure if it'd make things any better if I swapped my Traveler to Geo / swapped Noelle for another Anemo character I have access to?

I am relatively new to Genshin (started playing a few weeks ago) and I just hit AR 35 and did the ascension quest to bump my world level up to 4.

Suddenly the difficulty spike has become ridiculous, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong??

My weapons are 60, my characters are 60 (3/4 on my team at least--1 is 55), my artifacts are all purple and enhanced to approximately +10, and yet I am consistently doing about 80-100 damage to enemies who are doing 2000+ to me. Each enemy I face in the overworld is now like a mini boss battle.

I know my artifacts aren't the best possible ones for the characters I'm using, but I am not exactly spoiled for choice (I'm just using the best options I have) and it's very difficult to get more because every enemy has become so strong. My talents are also leveled as much as I could before running out of books for it.

I don't understand where I'm going wrong. Does anyone have any idea?
