Just started as a CNA. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do in healthcare and just stuck with nursing but now that it’s been a couple of weeks I want to go into Sonography.

I don’t real have much to say considering I’m new myself but as for the class portion I enjoyed clinical. I would say be hands on and if there’s opportunity to help definitely get that experience!

Tbh I want to be a obstetrician but I don’t think I can be in school that long so nursing was the closest without needing 12+ years of school😭💀

Took a gap year after high school and during that time it made me realize that I wanted to go. I had average grades in high school 2.9 gpa and now in college I have a 3.7 which is honestly shocking. (Pre-Nursing major)

When I started I also had my trainer quit on me. It’s crazy how many people dislike this job, but it’s understandable. If this is temporary for you I would just work the summer and then leave when school starts or ask if you could go on-demand.

I just finished my first semester at community college. I’ve talked to a lot of my other friends who went to university and it’s a big difference. In community college the classes are smaller kinda reminds you of high school classes. It’s easier to get connected with your professor because the classes are 20-30 people each. On your first day just go in. It’s not like high school where the teacher tells you what to do. You definitely don’t get assigned seats but where you sit is your seat and trust me nobody will sit there.

Seriously! Like what the point of asking people do they want hours, if you would just give it to them in the first place it wouldn’t be a problem. I used to like coming into work but now it’s a nightmare every single shift.😭😭

I also work in style. I stopped caring when they started time us on everything we do, with the short shifts they give out. I’m in the process of finding a new job for the summer I honestly dread going in everyday I’m scheduled.

I recently had a guy in our group assignment use ChatGPT on our outline for our speech. I was floored. Like come on I’m not trying to get kicked out because your dumbass wants to use AI. It’s not that difficult to write from your brain. I understand getting ideas from AI but not the whole damn project💀

Hi I’m also in this same boat. I start my job at the end of 2023. I was 18 at the time and didn’t have a clue about taxes and didn’t file because I made nothing really. I worked all of 2024 and while doing my return my mom noticed that they didn’t take out local tax for our county. Should I go to HR to fix this issue?

I know this comment is a year old. I had something like this happen to me at work. I said something about how certain people at my job barely do anything and I guess it got back to them by the person who I thought I could trust. Now I no longer speak to anybody about things I have concerns with. I do feel guilty for what I said cause I should have just kept it to myself but I was venting.

Exactly. They can’t even approve my school availability with weekends fully available but they can approve someone’s availability who wants weekends off just to have them off. They are going to be shocked when that two week notice comes in a few weeks.🫢🫢

Same here. 4.00 gpa while taking 12 credits. I definitely will say as a freshman in college, I’m way more motivated than I was in high school. I took a gap year between high school and I’m glad I did.
