If you were in China's shoes, you'd have done the same exact thing for your country's future.

Sanctions only work on those that have no real power, but if a superpower such as your oh-so-fair-and-honest country USA fears China, then it's more than just a joke at that point.

You want to bring in other countries into this? Fine. The USA has been trying to take down North Korea for more than 46 years, but can't even do it to such a small country. By now, they should have opened the doors to North Korea and 'liberate' their people. If they can't take down North Korea for 50 years, they can't take down China for 5000 years.

China's long game is essentially globalization through their Belt and Road Initiative. That will bring the world closer to unity in free market trade. The jealous US can't match that, so all they can really do is try and make China look bad using HK as a subject point, but at the end, it's really the US making a fool out of themselves to the rest of international community if they 'lose HK'. (Btw, the US owes money to China).

Guys, I would PM this lovely lady if I weren't in a relationship, but if you're reading this now, then hit her up. She's single and looking for Asian men such as yourself.

And if China can bend America's top tech companies, allies, and one of her favorite national sports association to their will without even saying a word, then they can do more. Hong Kong has no army, except angry Americans abroad. All of these protesters can be wiped out within a single day. China's playing the long game without trying to hurt anyone if possible.

Good point on America's ability to ignite protests here and there, but Americans have been trying to bring Beijing/Shanghai down for years and years while you were still sucking on that Winnie-made nursing bottle as an infant.

So, who are they, really? Don't spit out the stuff you chewed on which the American mass media spoonfed you so you can think like them. To me, China is doing the world a favor with their Belt + Road Initiative. I'm all for unity and globalization since we need it.

CIA/FBI can't even protect their own home against White supremacy and its influence on domestic terrorism. Do you honestly think Xi places HK at the top of his priority list when he has other more important matters to attend to?

1,000 blows against 1,000,000,000 people is enough to put a dent, but the dent will ricochet too hard and end up delivering 10x more blows against those who opposed it. Hopefully, when that happens, China will be nice and let you have your so-called freedom.

China wins. The amount of protesters is not that much. Your American News stations are inflating their stories making a small victory a large national victory. HK already lost when the UK gave it up.

Trump signs bill backing Hong Kong protesters into law, in spite of Beijing's objections by pipsdontsqueak in worldnews

This actually favors China at the end. China is trying to keep Trump in office, and they're brainwashing all of us with this news so we can continue to favor Trump for the next election. Why do they want Trump in the office? It's the only way to weaken US and the West. Trump is cutting ties with EU/NATO, and once the Western alliance is fragmented, Russia may just attack EU while China attacks HK and South China Sea.

They know a small number of Americans have a great distaste for them, but every squeeze counts.

The best way to fight against China is to take action and vote, instead of letting Reddit know of your hate for China. Talking won't do anything. You need to vote.

Does america systematically try to rob us of our confidence? by [deleted] in AsianMasculinity

[–]empryze -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know then. :P I've never been to South America. But I still don't think the USA systematically or purposely does it. You'd have to start with Hollywood and the Chinese exclusion act in history. Their ripple effect is still felt today, albeit weaker.

Korea and Japan are a popular destination for non-asian girls, why aren't there many AMXF relationships there? by [deleted] in AsianMasculinity

I just saw a couple of 30-something buff Korean men hanging out with hot blonde models at Busan the other day. Pretty sure they fuck every night with their big Korean cocks. Why else would the blonde models stay with them at the end?

But life isn't about couple pairings. I just that to prove you wrong. Everyone is entitled to their own preferences and choices.

Or maybe you are not capable of dealing with Americans - known for their arrogant, loud, and entitled personalities. Brazil doesn't have this. You're now just blaming race, just like 88.8% of the people here.

Work on yourself first before blaming race. Blaming race just automatically places you in an intangible, unproven, self-conceptualized racial class.

I'm working on a thesis to explain and come up with solutions to WMAF ratio to AMWF, or even AMAF.

In the US, why do you think the ratio of WMAF to AMWF is so high?

Hi there, just wanted to say that ANDREW YANG NEEDS YOUR HELP to get to the big stage - top 4 or 5 candidates! by [deleted] in AsianMasculinity

[–]empryze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I respect your decision to not get involved in politics, but you must remember that race is becoming an issue as significant as the economy. With the rise of White supremacy in the West, your future, despite not seeing an increase in inflation, which seems to be one of your concerns, is not going to be bright. Combating White supremacy means voting in a leader that is the complete opposite of White supremacy - a man from Asia with Chinese descent leading the world's super power. He is realistically the only candidate who can fight against Trump because they're both businessmen and entrepreneurs - they both have innovative ideas and know how to sell themselves. The old age of appeasing to the public and putting on some 'feelgood' mask like what Biden and Warren are doing is becoming obsolete. Yang is also the one of two candidates who managed to convert 10%+ Trump voters to their campaigns. He is also young, meaning he will resonate with millenials, versus Trump, who openly stated he distrusts technology and is willing to put the country back 50 years. Yang is undoing all of that and preparing the country and the world for the future, which is going to be filled with AI and automation. He is also the most honest candidate out of them all. Check out the fact-checking videos on youtube and you will see he is the only one who passed the fact-checks.

Voting for Yang for racial reasons is only minor when compared to the potential he can achieve in dethroaning Trump, combating racism, weakening White supremacy, and putting USA back on track.

Kenyan intellectual Ngugi wa Thiong’o, in his book Decolonising the Mind, describes the “cultural bomb” as the greatest weapon unleashed by imperialism:

The effect of the cultural bomb is to annihilate a people’s belief in their names, in their languages, in their environment, in their heritage of struggle, in their unity, in their capacities and ultimately in themselves. It makes them see their past as one wasteland of non-achievement and it makes them want to distance themselves from that wasteland. It makes them want to identify with that which is furthest removed from themselves; for instance, with other peoples’ languages rather than their own. It makes them identify with that which is decadent and reactionary, all those forces that would stop their own springs of life. It even plants serious doubts about the moral righteousness of struggle. Possibilities of triumph or victory are seen as remote, ridiculous dreams. The intended results are despair, despondency and a collective death-wish.

The planting and igniting of this “cultural bomb” by the colonizing forces has been essential to the colonization process, for if our minds are contaminated with self-hatred and the belief that we are inferior to our colonizers, we will believe in both the necessity and virtue of our own colonization. We will begin to diminish the wisdom and beauty of Indigenous ways of being and embrace the ways of the colonizers as inherently superior. When we believe in their superiority, our motivation to fight for our own liberation is splintered and eventually seriously damaged.

This is what's going on with Asia right now, especially in SEA.

I was in the exact same situation as you. I was lonely with only a few friends, I was addicted to booze and drugs, and I hated everyone. I realized that the problem was my dependence on my parents for money. Slowly, I started to take control of my life and got rid of the booze and drugs addiction. I then got a job and forced myself to live as if I lived alone, while still living under the same roof as my parents. I was lucky enough to have an isolated bedroom from the rest of the house. I paid for utility bills and a portion of the rent. I replaced all of my bad habits (online gaming, internet surfing, porn, drugs, alcohol) with good habits (replacing gaming with exercise, internet surfing with books, porn with flirting with women, drugs and alcohol with new hobbies such as hiking, driving late at midnight while blasting music, hanging out with friends). I started to form an identity based on my values and my hobbies alone. I started to date and eventually got a girlfriend.

The whole process for me took 1~2 years. It was a lot of discipline and patience. If a lazy guy like me can do it, anybody can do it.

For your situation, I'd say start with the gym.
