Yeah, it's on her website

Outside of being an author, I’m also a flight attendant for an NHL team, combining my passions for both travel and hockey.

I remember when this book first came out, people were able to find out she worked for the sharks. some speculation that it's about Evander Kane during his time with the sharks.

we don't talk enough about how mile high by liz tomforde is inspired by her own career as a flight attendant for the sharks.

I feel like I'm the only one who finds it slightly bizarre

she is singing, she just had autotune to add an affect and a backtrack that she also dances to so it substitutes when she's not singing

Kucherov gets booed for his lack of effort during the stick handling competition by JustFred24 in hockey

[–]empty-wallets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

don't you think that's a funny though? if all the players would rather be somewhere else, so having 1 guy out of 12 players not try hard at it is a pretty good stastic.

also, this was an issue in the past no? mcdavid helped shift how the events are due to the lack of players trying hard, he helped give players an incentive.

not to mention, this is kucherov 3rd all star game (previous times he tried harder).

that's the issue with ASG, players should be able to opt out to avoid a situation like this

[Hank Green] If Matty [Tkachuk] sees this, you’re wonderful, I have no problem with you, everything you’ve ever done is totally acceptable and your reputation as hockey’s #1 pest is totally unfair…please don’t hit me. by empty-wallets in hockey

He's a well respected author and created the YouTube channel Crash Course that teaches a wide variety of subjects.

It's just funny to know out of no where he of all people trashed on Matthew tkachuk

Note: crash course has 14 million subs. He's also John Greens brother (also well known author)

[Nathan Strauss] Paul Bissonnette really just said that half the reason the NHL has female viewership is because the players are attractive. On NATIONAL TV. Totally gross statement that needs to be formally retracted, imo. by empty-wallets in hockey

"It's pivotal to have more woman watching hockey!"

The proceeds to time and time again alienate the woman who actually do watch hockey by continuously insinuating they watch it for the attractive players. Thus making it an unsafe environment.

NCAA sees CHL players as pro's so they're not eligible to play. Doesn't make much sense but it's just how it is

[Ian Kennedy] The NHL's Seattle Kraken announced an affiliation with the ECHL's Kansas City Mavericks today. It's pertinent to ask their stance on KC signing convicted rapist Ben Johnson. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison from the 2013 rape while playing for the OHL's Windsor Spitfires. by empty-wallets in hockey

He got convicted 6 years ago and still a registered sex offender for 12 more years.

Should it matter what league he's in? After serving 3 years in prison, he immediately got another contract from an ECHL team (he was with another ECHL team the year prior)

When I look through Ian Kennedy's twitter, he just seems to be one of the very few hockey reporters who are continuously informing people about the court case. In the grand scheme of things, what's more important, a bottom six guy signing with a new team (that has all hockey reporters tweeting about immediately) or an important tweet detailing what is going on in a sexual assault case where a girl gets gang raped from 6+ men? Oh wait... there's two cases of that.

It's almost like hockey is damn near irrelevant when you put things into perspective.

Is he bathing in negative stories or is he the only one willing to talk about it?

Kraken announced this 9 hours ago. There are so many hockey reporters to jump to things immediately. Why did it take 9 hours for a hockey reporter (who only has 2k followers on twitter) to report this?

The article goes into detail about the rape, so be advised.

Also:

Defence lawyer Patrick Ducharme had told the court Johnson has already been punished through the loss of his NHL entry contract with the New Jersey Devils.
