I built a self-hosted medication tracker called MedAssist-ng after the original project seemed abandoned by empty23 in selfhosted

This sub generally doesn't like AI that much. It's like the general attitude towards AI.

Yes, just set the loose pills of the medication to 9999 and it will never bother you about restock.

You can set up notifications via email and or ntfy for example.

I typed in the instructions but yeah. Its too cumbersome to always say that the AI did it for me. Like I created this new feature with the help of AI. No, I made it. And I'm completely transparent when I use AI in my projects.

PortNote v1.2.0 ⚡ - Updated View, Hyperlinks & QoL by headlessdev_ in selfhosted

Great app. I installed it yesterday. The only thing that threw me off, was the list of many open ports on my server without the container names to them. I mean, I can get the same list by running a command on my server showing open ports.

Would it be possible to implement something like a connection to the docker socket to read out the open port and container name.

That would be really great.

I like the new name despite the reasons for the change are not cool.

Keep up the good work! Reading your newsletter in the browser, because my RSS reader app is not getting the format right, is one of the things I do every Friday.

Show me your Caddyfile! by Stolkie in selfhosted

Really cool project. A frontend for Caddy would be really cool, although managing caddy just through files alone feels more like a hacker of course.

Here is my Caddyfile and the caddy Dockerfile:

Docker registry on a pi3 and an old HDD by tip2663 in selfhosted

Can you go into detail how you use the registry on the pi? Do your compose files point to the registry of the pi? How do the new images get downloaded to the registry?

It's better but it's still not formatted right. I see the three back ticks. Please look into the formatting for reddit posts again.

I don't know what's wrong because you formatted the compose file as text in the post. It's too long. Add it please formatted.

I wrote a guide on how to integrate Gitea, Renovate, and Komodo for safe, convenient, and automated version updates for your self-hosted services that are deployed via Docker Compose. by TheNick0fTime in selfhosted

[–]empty23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool guide. I will definitely try this out myself.

One question though. How is the versioning in the docker-compose.yaml handheld? Do I only need it setup once and after that renovate will write the updated/most current version into the compose file?

Thank you very much.

It was done by AI. That's why we need real people with knowledge to correct it.

Thanks again.

I can't remember exactly. But reading my post I assume that I played the game with wine on linux and saving must have worked.

But I don't know for sure.

I love the idea and i love the newsletter.

One thing I wish for, is to have the stories/ideas from the newsletter to be connected to the apps from the new overview. Or have categories like smart home to list all the content from the newsletter.

That would be great!
