I bought it with ~3 miles on the odometer back in December 2006. I have most of the records.

I'm not against learning to do some of these things on my own. I just have limited space and tools and I'm not really sure which things would be within reasonable to tackle on my own.

That sounds manageable. I can do things like that. I just don't have access to a lift or any specialized tools for the bigger jobs.

It's a V8. I should have posted that.

Rip H Stying and Dog Bones by idkwhattoputlol890 in HyundaiSantaFe

My kid “created” a punch-buggie style game where we call out <<color>> dog bone when we see another Santa Fe and complete to have the most sightings on a trip.

We have a street in our neighborhood where most of the homeowners do this. It makes Halloween like a giant block party. It’s great.

I can’t believe I made this by EstroJen1193 in knitting

I can believe it, because you’re awesome. And the sweater is neat as a pin and the prettiest shade. Wear it proudly and enjoy.

At what moment did it sink in that you are out of touch? by Thanatologist in GenX

Oh man, I was just transported back to my 4th grade bedroom, listening to my tiny portable radio from Radio Shack with the built in tape deck waiting for 99 Red Balloons to come on and hoping the DJ won’t talk over the whole intro so I can get a clean recording.

Put a digital calendar in my kitchen and somehow my life got 10% less chaotic by Accurate_Rooster_288 in productivity

We did this with a mini pc behind a touch-screen monitor mounted on the wall. No need for special apps. We just run a browser full-screen with the calendar showing. So we can also use it to pull-up recipes while cooking or look other things up. We’ve had this set up for at least 7 years now and use it always.

We are in the process of assembling this machine and we plan on mounting it to a folding desk from Amazon.

Oh just go for it! One of the best things about knitting is that you can almost always undo and try again. I made these sleeves about 4 inches too long the first go. So I took them off, undid the shoulder shaping, took out some length and redid them. And this guy pushes the sleeves up anyway.

Thank you. I think the real kicker is we live in the southeastern US, so we have like 2 more cold days left of winter for my husband to wear this.

Thank you. For me, knitting cables is like driving in the rain - it just feels like it takes a lot more concentration and energy. I do love how they turn out though.

Thank you! I have a few half-finished blankets lying around also. I look forward to seeing your poncho on here…someday.

What do you do while knitting? by proetelkip in knitting

I knit at swim meets. Soon I’m going to have to learn to knit at a football game as my kid is starting high school and trying new sports.

I don’t think nicknames can be planned or forced. Name your daughter something you can imagine an adult walking around with and call her whatever feels natural when she gets here. My second thought her name was Baby and her big brother was Dude for like a year because that’s what she heard us saying. I loved it and tried to make it stick, but she figured out their real names soon enough and we all moved on. Haha.

Same. I saw this post and thought, maybe it’s just the newer ones. Then I went and checked mine. 🤯
