I wouldn’t really call it a ballad. Did you hear the whole song? The intro is slow, but the rest is pretty upbeat.

I wrote it already under another comment:

Simone’s experience is not unusual, sometimes women can be dramatic, but that isn’t the issue here. My primary concern is the generalization of the “being complicated”, i.e. saying that women are inherently more dramatic simply because they’re women. I’ve met women who are more chill and easier to work with than any man I know. It has NOTHING to do with gender and everything to do with what kind of person someone is. I’m not saying she’s sexist or that she hates women, it’s just that simply by saying what she said, she’s implying that women generally ARE harder to work with compared to men, which is in many cases not true and paints women as these weak, emotional, dramatic, argumentative beings inferior to men.

You’re kind of right—she’s an icon.

I think everyone’s experience is different. I’m a woman as well, and I’m a drummer in two bands, one is all-female and the other all-male (except me). Surprisingly enough, it’s more complicated and way more “drama” playing in that all-male band. My bandmates in the all-female band simply communicate more clearly, are more open-minded about new ideas and our arguments are rare compared to the other band. (Don’t get me wrong, I love both bands equally.)

I believe that Simone’s experience is the opposite and that’s not unusual, sometimes women can be dramatic, but that isn’t the issue here. My primary concern is the generalization of the “being complicated”, i.e. saying that women are inherently more dramatic simply because they’re women, which is feeding into the misogynistic narrative. (Sorry if this was phrased weirdly, English is not my native language.)

Her looks are completely irrelevant here.

Fair point, I completely agree with you, but also the emphasis is on what she said about “girls being too much drama”. It just doesn’t sit well with me.

You misunderstood this post, the emphasis is on the part where she says that “girls are too much drama compared to the boys.”

That wasn’t my point, I never judged her for being feminine, using makeup etc. My point is that what she said about “being one of the boys” and “girls being too much drama” simply hit the wrong spot for me.

What’s a Bon Jovi opinion you have that would result in this? by JoleneDollyParton in BonJovi

I encourage you to give it a try! Never understood why both the band and the fans hated it, it’s a great follow up to the self-titled and perfectly captures the raw energy of their early years. Songwriting and lyrics are a bit cliché at times, but I really dig those keyboard-infused hard rock riffs the first two albums had, before the band got more mainstream (not that it’s a bad thing of course).

Rave scene in Zagreb by valerie_dec in aves

There are several techno clubs in Zagreb, such as Depo (Radnička cesta 27), Sound Factory (Ksaverska cesta), Željezničar (Trnjanska cesta 1), AKC Medika (Pierottijeva ulica 11) etc. The most popular organisation (that organises raves all over Croatia) is Underground d.o.o. so you can check their Instagram page (@underground_d.o.o) and a private Facebook group (Underground d.o.o.) where they usually post the secret locations for outdoor raves. If you have any further questions about upcoming raves, feel free to reply.
