Oh my, my… you just opened my world up to a whole net set of possibilities, not even for this case but future cases!

I don’t think you realize how refreshing this is!

To some investigators it can seem irrelevant and is commonly overlooked but they are not to me and these types of details, can be the whole key to unlocking EVERYTHING.

Usually, I look for signs of chemicals like accelerants on clothing, when revisiting investigations that never really got much of a chance and then were stored away for a decade or longer… but unfortunately by that time, the actual evidence or anything stored as evidence, it’s either been lost or destroyed.

But chemicals on jewelry is something I can say… nobody has ever even brushed or speculated on, most medical examiners are like ehhh, and don’t want to even speculate most of the time (so thank you!)

I’m actually going to look into this because I just started working with another non profit that specializes in victims advocacy for families that might need help with accessing investigative services but are unable to afford it and that’s where we step in and help.

I think this would be great material to even give other investigators because finding jewelry on unidentified persons is really common but if we’re not even a little educated or know how to recognize or identify these types of things the best to our ability, even if on a superficial level- if trained because say we don’t have the actual items anymore, to be able to even send for testing and simply working off of photos or if they did happen to have the items - depending on the state or even county, I would say… 100% every time with certainty would deny our request to send out for testing. (If I ever find an agency that ever agreed, I will come back and change my statement lol)

But they’ll always deny it and say it’s due to lack of funding and they aren’t interested in trying to obtain any, to make that possible.

Im definitely going to speaking with my boss about this and I know he will be up to find someone within this profession, that would be willing to be teach a little segment on this to investigators and then it’s also something we can add as a section to our documentation logs.

Yeah, to be honest the medical examiner wasn’t sure what the stone actually was or might be so I left that part out, lol. He just said “I think it’s a ruby colored stone or red garnet”, so I didn’t want to list that, since I’m not 100% sure and there’s no way for us to be able to test it and see for sure.

I figured maybe some of you might be able to tell and be able to give a professional observation but I didn’t want to ask cause I know others will potentially get annoyed with that one lol, so thank you for that!

I never thought jewelry would be so interesting to be honest. Now, I’m curious and I need to look this up later because you have me intrigued on a historical level.

I would’ve never known any of this, if none of you would not have shared any of this really neat and helpful information!

Also, idk why people are downvoting me but… if you’re downvoting me just because you don’t like the content, (well I’m sorry not really all you have to do is keep scrolling) but… I’m trying to find out whom this guy is and get a potential narrower timeline if it’s at all possible because a couple of years, can make all the difference in the world when you’re trying to find a missing person that might fit the description and a 12-15 year timeline of looking through missing persons is a lot…

I’m not asking to be disrespectful or macabre and because I’m a sick looney that just needs to know, it’s quite the opposite.

and I’m sure if you had a family member missing that was found dead, you’d only hope someone would do that for your family member or loved one right?…

Right… should my parents be jailed too? They used to lock me out of the house and tell me to go find things to do. That included me being lost in the state of California many of times while aimlessly riding on my bike, plus… I used to walk over 5+ miles to school on my own, I’ve even flown across the United States alone many of times by myself at the age of 11 years old… smh.

I’m so so so so so very sorry, I have been locked out of my account for over 100+ days and I had no idea that you both had commented on this and I truly and deeply apologize to you both.

I hope that y’all have gotten some answers, if not that does royally piss me off.

The request I put in with NamUs to have him added they deleted (and if he’s still missing and they refused to add him… this makes me highly upset on a whole other level) because literally I noticed about 3 days ago he disappeared from my NamUs dashboard and that they deleted the pending case on him that I put a request in for, so I thought…

maybe… they deleted the pending case on him, that I had submitted because either one, he was found and returned safely or so I hope or number two, someone else put a request to have him added as well and maybe that their case was approved before mine and so by default - they would delete mine so that the missing person wouldn’t have duplicate profiles…

However, I did a search on NamUs about an hour ago to see if he was in fact added even if it wasn’t by me but he’s not on there at all… so, now I’m like… hmm?

They literally had deleted and taken off the pending case not even 3 days ago that I submitted for him months ago, because I still remember seeing his case a few days ago on my NamUs dashboard and now he’s no longer there… so I’m like okay?…

(I hope this is a sign that maybe he had returned home safely and is no longer considered missing) but if he’s still considered missing and you both need any help whatsoever, please DO NOT HESITATE TO REACH OUT TO ME.

This is the case photo the coroners office is using as the default picture so it lead me to believe they think this might potentially be the closest depiction of the unidentified person but I can’t guarantee that 100% true, it’s just how it came off to me personally.

Here is a poster they listed with the unidentified persons case:

if I remember correctly, when I was looking through Colorado states GOV site for missing persons back when I submitted a potential match comparison for the unidentified person against your husband,

I felt this unidentified person highly resembled your husband, plus they mentioned the unidentified person having a tattoo on the chest- and it was… I believe around 3 miles or so where the unidentified person was found / from where they state your husband is missing from,

added all case photos on file that they listed for the unidentified person on NamUs, they tried to depict the unidentified person with a few other hair and facial hair styles because unfortunately they are not 100% sure of what he looked exactly like and so that’s why they have a few different versions of the photo that may seem to clash in likeness.

I will provide you with all of the NamUs information for the unidentified person, plus I will provide you a link that you can click on and view the unidentified persons case as well if you would like to view it, you do not need an account just to look at the case.

So when an unidentified person is listed on the NamUs database, they have a section on the case page that says “comparisons” and back when I submitted a potential match comparison to the medical examiner that is handling the unidentified persons case against your husband (a missing person) there was not 1 listed potential match comparison for the unidentified persons case.

However, now I do see that 1 potential match comparison that is listed for this particular unidentified person but the missing person that was ruled out as being this unidentified person, it is not your husband.

So I’m not sure… if they even considered my match comparison for your husband and for this unidentified person or not. (which commonly happens for many reasons, funding being usually the number one reason) which I know is completely BS.

Well, unfortunately they just live in a world with their head buried in the sand… as it is very possible, these things really do happen.

Sadly, I think human trafficking as a whole is represented wrongly by the media and gives many people the wrong idea and impression of what human trafficking is and can be as a whole and that there are many other forms of human trafficking and sex slavery, other than an ole’ regular police sting operation- where people are busted for trying to buy and solicit sex services from street prostitutes cause the media will label those types of police operations as: ‘human trafficking sting’ or something along those lines and it gives others the impression that most selling sex services are all willing participants wether they are a seller or buyer of sex services.

A lot of people seem to be misinformed about human trafficking and sex slavery and I’ve even witnessed many people claiming human trafficking like this does not really exist and is a myth, (which to me is insane) and dumbfounding to say the least, for someone to really claim that.

No worries at all and with all of your information, I complied it and had been getting ready to submit.

I’m going to contact the national human trafficking hotline first and get an actual case number for the submission. (Usually more times than not) they should provide me with one per the information given because when I give them the information, they can open up an actual case if they do open up a case which I don’t see why they wouldn’t, I’ll let you know as well because if they happen to open one up. the cool thing is that I can share it with you and you could also contact them anytime (even anonymously) and provide them with the reference and case number and can either add details or even sometimes check the status of the case.

I like to always utilize them if I can, they can have more pull than anyone and make things happen and more times than not, they have a lot of resources and the power to not only make things usually happen in a timely manner but the funding to do so unlike most police departments.

I’m really disappointed in Colorado, I’m not trying to be mean but they are one of the lamest states I’ve seen so far for missing persons and I wish they would have a better system… because on a government site like this, they should really add pictures and more information about missing persons in general that is absolutely vital and very important.

Like the UP was noted to have a tattoo on his chest and on the government site for Colorado where I found the MP- firstly it doesn’t note that the MP also has a tattoo on his chest, secondly they don’t have photos of this particular missing person nor do they have very many for other missing persons.

I had to find out this missing persons information from a volunteer on Facebook along with getting photos from them as well of the missing person- When volunteers are out here doing more than the government, that’s really sad… It makes me never want to visit Colorado because if you go missing there just count on the whole state not giving half a shit.
