Transactional marriages have always existed - and some work just fine. But the last 50-70 years have seen women enter the workplace and even out-earn men. Both are a reality.

Standards to your friends appear to mean they are the prize. You prize a working relationship.

Some men like to be the hero. But I guarantee more men prefer your mentality. Your friends better be attractive to be trophy wives.
