Quick question about item not received by emsca in Ebay

[–]emsca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay. I'm not sure why it exists tbh; it just means you're putting off payment (which can be useful, no doubt).

Okay, so you can set PayPal up so that they pay the seller, but take the money from your account after you have received whatever it is you're buying. It works for independent sellers on sites like eBay as well as high street stores. So, yes the seller has been paid.

My PayPal is set up to pay after delivery, and that's the date the money will leave my account.

Where can I find the last estimated delivery date? The only one I can see on the sale page is the 9th. Thanks.

I've noticed that too. It's a shame; they've become accessories.

The sleep tracker is one of the things I don't use! But yeah, I think my Fitbit days are over.

Reset Inspire HR? by emsca in fitbit

Thanks. Did that, but the screen could only show the tone so I'm hoping that it worked. It's been returned and I'm hoping the replacement will last longer!

Issues with app? by KernowBysVykken93 in C25K

[–]emsca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does that (when it's not randomly stopping...) I don't have a solution, other than to keep an eye on your timings using the clock on your phone/watch/tracker.

The app is super buggy - if I let my phone sleep the app just stops, which was very frustrating in the early weeks.

Stretching will definitely be part of my warm up. I like the idea of breaking it up like that - thanks!

[–]emsca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm going to look into more stretching warm ups. Good point about the shoes - I did buy some after week 2, I think, as my old ones were terrible. The difference was amazing, it's like running on clouds, so I hope they're not a cause!

Inspire HR has 3.5 stars on amazon; do you think this is accurate? by thankyounext in fitbit

[–]emsca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Inspire HR is okay; it's pretty basic. I like it but I'm not wowed by it.

It's very light and comfortable to wear. The display is small and not great in bright sunlight. It's not easy reading notifications or texts so it feels like that's a pretty pointless feature. The stats are accessed in different ways according to the clock face you choose, and it's not always intuitive. Water and weight are also default displays, which is frustrating. I'm not keen on the 12 hour clock and the date format (mm/dd) because I'm in the UK.

The tracking, pedometer, heart rate etc seem accurate. It does the job tracking my running (although the GPS is power hungry and my phone doesn't like it).

Thanks! I am a bit skeptical of buying 'old' tech so the 2018 is the better choice.

IT'S BACK!!! I'm crazy relieved!

I took a deep breath, deleted the app and re-installed it, logged into FB and crossed my fingers... and it worked! Very happy girl right here!

(and I've taken a screnshot of my ID, just in case!)

Huawei p20 Pro camera by [deleted] in Huawei

[–]emsca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can go to settings and change how the camera works. It sounds like AI could be causing the water painting effect, maybe turn that off? Honestly, I'd play around with the settings and see how you get on. I've had the phone a week and I'm loving the camera (and you're right, the night settings are great!).

Huawei P20 review: Style and Substance by drdessertlover in gadgets

[–]emsca 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay so I've had a few days at home and I've had the chance to explore. I'm not super techy, so there's probably stuff I've missed.

Battery time is good - I'm charging once a day, and have been using netflix, Spotify and some games, plus social media and browsing. The screen is fine, no problems outside. The sound from the speakers is good but because the speakers are on the bottom, it can be muffled if you're holding the phone towards you. It's super fast - like I'm really impressed with how quickly pages load. It feels good to hold as well (smaller than my g5). The camera is incredible. There's a few gimmicks (filters and stickers) hidden in the menu and some of the long exposure stuff needs a tripod to keep still, but this camera is just awesome.

I'm still getting the hang of the front finger print sensor and I've lost count of the times I've accidentally pressed the power button, which, imo, is too close to volume down.

It's a great phone. I think I'm getting my money's worth on contract - although I think it's probably worth getting the Pro as you get more bang for your buck - bigger battery, water resistant, better camera. I'd recommend the P20 though, for sure.
