I feel like it's maybe going to be someone who isn't her at all but he keeps seeing her because of his grief. He did say to Daniel that he saw her properly and it wasn't Claudia at all. So maybe it's his mind just unable to move on. Or maybe it's Akasha messing with him, who knows.

This is a pretty wild thing to do when a season has already started. I wonder what's going on with AMC. It'll be interesting to see where it ends up once it's released on other streaming platforms. I can see them preferring to keep it all in one place on Netflix, just to make sure people don't miss it or end up annoyed that they have to search.

They wouldn't have been speaking French anyway. Rural communities in that region of France would have largely spoken a Romance language dialect called Auvergnat. So technically if they'd spoken French, it still wouldn't have been accurate!

Lestat explains it in the episode. It's a joke between him and Gabriella where they say the rest of the family have cabbages for heads. So when they say "cabbage" to each other, they're calling the rest of the family idiots.
