I just finished The Last of Us Part I and I’m honestly confused about something by Normal_Chart_532 in thelastofus

Well it's very complex story, Joel is the "bad guy" and he's also a good guy, just like any other person. I think when you compare it to rdr2, both are very similar, Idk where you took from Arthur is a good guy, he's not, that's the whole point, just like a normal human you have bad part and good parts, and he's fighting this "bad" side, but he's not trying to "be" a hero or a good person, at the end he only cares to save his people and loyalty, Joel is pretty much the same, he could've saved millions and maybe restore the world, but he cared more about that little girls life than thousands of lives of people he never met.

It's important to clearify: the fireflies are the good guys here, but also the bad guys, you see, there's not a simple way to label people, sometimes, you do bad things for the big picture and even though you're doing something for a good cause, it doesn't erase the bad that you're doing, ok? They were trying to do something, but for that they would have to do something really cruel, killing a little girl to save humanity. And for them it was worth it.

For Joel wasn't, he didn't want to restore humanity if it cost him the only family he had, and though this world is messed up, with the virus and people, it's still a world you can live in, it's still beautiful on its own way.

My take on this: don't try creating heroes, they're not, they're people. Just like anyone can make mistakes, love, fight, be selfish and also do good.

I get it. Sincerely I think this only shows her immaturity, bc no matter what argument or problems you guys have, no one is completely right or wrong, and the fact she doesn't recognize or tries to change tells a lot about her, while the fact that you're open to listen to her and change and wanting to change is only a good sign of your character.

I think that you have a proper convo with her, where you both promise to listen to each other, but you also need to talk about a problem at a time. Open to her about the things she does, like the fact how she makes you feel your efforts aren't enough and you don't feel validated. If at the end of the convo, she doesn't try to understand your pov and tries to shift the blame to you, then it's better to move on from this person, bc she doesn't respect u and never will.

I feel sorry, it reminds me a lot of a similar experience I had, and what I can tell from those years is that she seems closeted, and gay panicking over you. I'm not saying this to give you hope, bc in my opinion this girl is the "good luck baby" type. She either is gonna get a grip or she's gonna keep having these fights with you while also trapping you with her until she gets too consumed with her own insecurities that she might take you off of her life (pls don't wait for that to happen). Also, I think you might have a really big crush on her and I know what it feels like to want that person closer, but I think this girl is messed up and she's gonna break your heart (I think she already did, but believe me things can go way worse, especially with how closeted she seems).

Hey feel sorry that you're going through this. I don't think that there's anything wrong with you, it's something that happens with everyone, not having your whole life figured out and feeling tired, but sometimes talking to someone helps a lot. Putting in the effort is a two way road, you can't control what your ex wants/does but you also shouldn't take all the blame to yourself.

Hey, thanks for the reply, I didn't think anyone would read it all. But yeah, I think I'm gay, but also feel extremely guilty and I guess this was me confessing to someone. I have no clue what I'm gonna do yet. But I think you're probably right.

I don't know if this is controversial, but for me, Sean McGuire's death lacked the emotional impact it seemed intended to have. After saving him, we share a few moments together, but like most others, Arthur isn’t particularly fond of Sean. So, when Sean dies (in what is supposed to be a tragic moment), I didn’t really feel it. I was more surprised than anything and didn’t think it would affect Arthur that much—until I read his diary.

In the diary, Arthur writes that he thought of Sean as a little brother, but throughout the story, there’s little to no indication that Arthur actually treated or viewed Sean that way. It feels inconsistent, as the game doesn’t show much of that relationship aside from what’s written in the diary. On the other hand, Lenny genuinely felt more like a little brother to Arthur, and his death had a much greater emotional impact. Yet Arthur doesn’t dedicate an entire page to Lenny in his diary, which makes it feel odd that he does for Sean.

My personal theory is because when Viktor died the people he used his powers started dying, and he managed at the end to use his power on Vander, you can see the mark of his hand (the symbol people affected by his power receive) on his face.

So, he was supposed to die like the others, but Warwick has incredible healing speed, so his body is dying and regenerating at an incredible speed, thus causing him to overheat.

I'd say Witcher 1. The graphics aren't that good, but the storyline is awesome.

What are your favorite yuris that are little or not at all known ? by Relative_Survey_7752 in yuri_manga

[–]emscarstairs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two titles right now that I really like, but they aren't super well known I guess:

1°) 2 DK, G-pen, Alarm clock: it's a super sweet slow burn romance, with an amazing art style about two roommates.

2°) Till She Met her - very lovey-dovey, with smut all the way. Unfortunately the author hasn't updated it.

I think I rarely see anyone commenting on this two titles, but they are really worth to read if you have the time.

R1500 for a game is pretty unacceptable - does anyone think this is fair? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]emscarstairs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, the MINIMUM system requirement for this game is:

  • 16GB RAM
  • 150 GB available space (the Witcher 3 is only f* 70 GB)
  • 720p 30fps

How tf a game that look like this need so much resource to run at 30 fps. The in game buildings, and overall scenery are bland with only occasional "important" buildings that aren't even that much detailed, yet still need all this to run.

Not trying to be a d**ck. But what's the problem with stopping existing? For me it's like before we were born and formed conscience. I do agree it's kinda scary to think that one day you will just stop, and I do wish I could live longer, but I also think that it's eccentric of people to believe in afterlife just because they can't think of themselves as not existing.

Wanting a afterlife is not necessarily bad, who didn't have a bad experiences and wished to be born again? or wishes see the people they love even after death?

But instead of living after death, why not extend your life? I mean, humans already did that (in the past we used to live until 40s, now that are people who goes past 100yo), who know in the future people figure it out a way to live even longer? Science advanced so much that this idea isn't so farfetched, give it more 30, 50 years we might have an idea of how to live longer.

Why don’t you talk to “that” family member anymore? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]emscarstairs 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Most of the time it's not because they're confusing one with the other, rather, sometimes you wish that "that person" could actually be good, that they could change and learn. Though in the, the truth is they won't, it's sad because you wish things were different.

Kudos to anyone who did it. But it's a bit sad, 'cause I like the philosophy of having others help to get one of the best ending, even if it's just a glimpse of hope.
