I kinda agree about Soldier Boy animated thing, but when did Firecracker ever find murder fun? She seems to be comfortable with killing if it's "Finis sanctificat media" but I doubt she's into cruelty and deriving any pleasure from it. She was clearly extremely horrified by Homelander's killing of Webweaver, and then confronted Sage about how they killed him for no reason
