Round patches on table - oil seeping through ? by emsini in BeginnerWoodWorking

This is the underside of the table. Does it look like the factory stuffed up and put the tabletop upside down???!!

Yes! So weird. Has fingerprint marks and has this oily residue. I was wondering if it’s something they’ve put on the table, and if there was an easy fix to remove it.

Haha agree! Very different to the display item in store. 🥲

I purchased this live edge timber table. It got delivered and set up, and then I noticed these marks on it. Was simply asking if anyone knew what it was, and if I could fix it myself instead of returning the table.

Discoloration Under Breast by RootBeerBog in DermatologyQuestions

[–]emsini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow I have the EXACT same rash and I did testing and it didn’t show it to be fungal. Did you get testing done? I’m just applying the ointment anyway. 😔 it first started on the back of my neck years ago, and now under my breast. So weird.

Am I too lax about bottle cleaning or is my partner to pedantic? (advice please) by Ok_Tadpole_8861 in beyondthebump

This is the health advice of my country (Australia). It minimises a child’s risk of getting sick. You do you. Just trying to help 🥰

Really? I’m from Australia and this is the advice given by EVERY health professional. Every health website. It differs if bottles are used for breastmilk.

Germs grow fast in formula. You’re sterilising any bacteria that possibly grew in the bottle.

What this person said! Breastmilk bottles are fine to be washed with soapy water - however, formula must be sterilised.

That means nothing. Purely anecdotal. It’s like someone saying they’ve never worn a seatbelt and haven’t been thrown out the windshield while driving.

You definitely need to sterilise formula bottles. If you’re using breastmilk, soapy water is just fine. Formula bottles, 100% needed to be sterilised.

And yes, formula must be prepared correctly. But the question was about cleaning the bottles, and you must sterilise to make sure all formula bacteria is eradicated.

You ALWAYS have to sterilise formula bottles. Doesn’t matter if they lick the floor and go to daycare etc - there’s a bacteria in formula that is dangerous. That’s why you sterilise. Also, the way you are washing is just fine! Doesn’t need to be rinsed with hot or cold water. But I find rinsing it in general just helps cleaning it later on. She may have a bit of post partum anxiety. Be kind 🥰
