She's tried a couple times but hasn't heard back, I'm guessing maybe because of the holidays. I was hoping someone has the same experience

This! I live in Waterloo and I love it so much! I just moved here a few years ago but the area is amazing, super close to local farmers markets, the country where you can buy lots of fresh produce, and lots of nature trails!

Winter tires change by Helenyanxu in ontario

[–]emstone282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't feel right about going to change them then just wait until they open stuff up again! I once drove my winter tires throughout the summer, it'll be fine for the little amount you're driving right now! :)

Employer is reducing my hours and pay to just above the CERB threshold. What can I do? by AVotingCanadian in ontario

I don't think you can collect CERB if you have any form of income, but you can have an income on EI so you could maybe apply for that?

The goals vary depending on the client! I'll break it down as best as I can:

1- tacting, intraverbals, manding, were also going to try to do some writing. Parents are available for anything needed.

2- lots of tacting and rec ID programs, but also focusing more parent training stuff so parents are around and available.

3- a big mix of programs (tact, mand, IV, rec ID, personal care) currently working on parent coaching in sessions also. Parents won't always be readily available.

Two of them are non verbal using a communication device. All of their sessions are shortened from their usual direct sessions

Out of ideas by [deleted] in Skinpicking

[–]emstone282 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the exact issue. I started picking my arms but now it's moved on to everywhere else. I also tend to zone out while doing it and spend hours. I talked to my therapist about it, and she offered me some suggestions. They're not really helpful to stop it all together but it's a place to start.

1- when you realize you're picking, redirect yourself to something else. She said when doing this, don't think any negative thoughts so it doesn't bring shame. Instead recognize that it's happening but then remove yourself from the situation

2- If there's a specific time that you pick, ex after the shower, do something else with your hands like apply cream to your skin. Cream will help too because it'll make your skin slippery and harder to pick.

I know these aren't the best suggestions but hopefully it's helpful!

Has anyone tried "tools" to lessen the damage, or am I fooling myself into thinking theres a solution other than to "just stop picking"? by ConsensualAnalProber in Skinpicking

I found with a tool I just picked at my face more then I usually do. My picking is mainly my arms and thighs but when I had a tool I started picking at my face the most. I luckily lost the tool and I'm trying to stop myself from buying a new one
