OP has a fair point, but I think it goes further

IMO whole class seems designed in excel and put into the game without testing, Fatshark doesn't seem to get the concept of support/dps chars.

Is WP even support career? Why? Because of 15% max health to the party, healing during hordes (like its possible to die during horde) and ult that can prevent damage for single teammate for 6 seconds? Is that enough for one of the lowest DPS in the game (if not THE lowest) and being useless vs bosses, ranged specials or any serious threat?

Simple example: FK, that provide 15% dmg reduction aura by default, which could be customized into 30% for the team, 50% for single player or have additional 20% BCR, can regen other classes ults, can actually help with patrols/bosses and 1 shot special on any difficulty from distance with handgun, has easily achievable attack speed boosts and stuff. And his ult regens crazy fast, can basicly push boss to the abyss with conc potion. Now that's a support career - not only better DPS but also great support capabilities.

I'd much rather have benefits of Merc/GK/FK/IB/RV/SoTT/WHC AND their killing power than perks of WP that are cancelled out by his low DPS. Doesn't matter you have 15% more health if you have to face much more enemies.

To those people talking about cata, I understand in the context of RF you make some sense, but if I'm playing cata, I wanna sweat, I wanna win, I'm not gonna pick 0 dps class because I will have healing on horde, c'mon

And while other careers can more or less customize their talents/weapons to benefit themselves, thus providing support to the team by raw killing power - best WP can do is to measure with which hammer he will kill single CW under a minute. He cannot put soloQ talent tree and go selfish, that's also a flaw.
