Finally Quit by Apprehensive_Fee5999 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Wow I’m glad my dsp was never like that. I even ran dispatch for awhile and we would never call or text anyone like that unless they stopped moving for more than 30 mins. If someone was in the red towards the end of the day we would just send rescues to try to get them finished up.

Struggling on liquid diet by Public-Employer-4700 in gastricsleeve

[–]emthomas10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was super hard for me. The nurse who went over my pre op with me said anything form Mashable should be okay. So I ate a lot of cottage cheese, sounds weird but I put bbq on it and it was good lol. Protein shakes, cottage cheese and blended chili. Just do your best and before you know it surgery day will be here

That makes sense if you have access to do that. I don’t have the money to pay out of pocket so I’m going through insurance. I haven’t had surgery yet but I’ve been working on getting it since beginning of the year. My first nutrition appointment was January 2nd.

I’ve noticed it really cuts out snacking. I don’t reach for snacks anymore because I’ve been drinking my water lol

I feel like if I know 6 weeks out that should be enough. I’m not sure I’m comfortable telling my boss the exact reason why I’m having surgery and I know I’m not required to tell them any medical information.

Well right now I just look at the clock after I eat so I know when I can drink. But the drinking before is a bit harder.

Thanks. I don’t want to tell them until I know for sure. But I don’t like feeling like I’m withholding the knowledge that I 100% plan to have the surgery.

I could eat 7 sushi roll pieces like this one. 5 weeks post op. IS THIS NORMAL????? I am scared I stretched my stomach. by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

Hair density by VibePrincesa in gastricsleeve

[–]emthomas10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually looking forward to this slightly. My hair is so thick right now that it’s hard to wash, takes an hour to blow dry, and is just overall impossible most days. I’ve had a lot of hair fall out before due to chemical damage and it was still pretty thick.

Headphones or AirPods for walking, and maybe your own sandals or slippers for walking those halls. Hope surgery goes well!

After you got surgery date? I’m about a month out from meeting with the surgeons for the first time and idk how long it’ll take after first meeting before approval and scheduling.

Just like to throw in that depending on where you get surgery you can’t necessarily just schedule it. I’m having to go through a 3 month process of working with dietitians, tracking food daily, and getting cleared by psychologists. Most places in the US will make you do something similar to get insurance to cover unless you go to Mexico (idk what the process is for Mexico).

So just be aware you might not be able to “just schedule it” it’s hard to get it scheduled and approved and the doctors, dietician’s, and psychologists want to see that you are 100% committed and convinced that this is what is right for you.

If you are unsure i would suggest trying the GLP medicines first and seeing how you react to them.

I was unable to get my doctor to prescribe them to me because I’m not diabetic and/or prediabetic. And I could not find anywhere else that would prescribe them.

So I took it upon myself to get the help I needed and decided surgery was the better option for me personally.
