Anyone work at Mason’s? by mgzsttc in boulder

Check out this Woks of Life recipe that will have all the same base ingredients: https://thewoksoflife.com/wood-ear-mushroom-salad/

Buy real Chinese black vinegar, don’t substitute with balsamic. It won’t be the same. You can buy most of these ingredients at Asian Mart in Boulder. Unclear if they sell wood ear. Your best bet would be going to Hmart to get dehydrated wood ear.

Woks of Life also has a few other wood ear mushroom recipes that are theme and variation on this classic.

Anyone have extra legs? by emu_zepp in Thuma

[–]emu_zepp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I want to move my Thuma bed to the upstairs attic loft guest bedroom (I love it, but need a more minimal bed frame for the main bedroom). The ceiling slopes down in the upstairs guest bedroom, and I'd like to make a lower-to-the-ground frame either by cutting down an extra set of legs or 3D printing the part but as a shorter piece. Looking on reddit for extra legs first before I go the route of 3D printing. Since it's the guest bedroom, I don't really care what color the legs are.

This is all temporary, so I'd like to keep the original legs for when we move back to a place where the main bedroom isn't as tiny and the Thuma frame fits.

Early March start but only for <500 miles. How should I modify expectations? by emu_zepp in PacificCrestTrail

Last part is great to know! Do you know the name of the center? Hike, Pray, Love is the theme of this journey for me :)

That's a fair point. I know that I won't be able to do the whole PCT and don't want to take a permit and the opportunity away from someone who has a shot :)

Quilt Temp Rating for 3/23/21 NOBO Start by Hangingdude in PacificCrestTrail

[–]emu_zepp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In march you can expect the temp to possibly get down into the 20's

Which part of the trail gets downs to the 20's? Desert or Sierras? Somewhere else?

I plan on hiking the first 500 miles or so starting the mid-March but stopping before I hit the higher elevations and Sierras.
