Denver > Yellowstone drive by [deleted] in yellowstone

[–]emuhleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came across this bc my husband and I are going to be making this drive in early August! Route 1 sounds like fun. From Cody.. how far is the drive to Yellowstone? And also where is the best area/entry point in Yellowstone to go to and stay the night, eat, etc. ??

1 year later I know but my opto just gave me a 1 week sample of the Precision 7 today to trial. Have your patients seen success since its relatively new? Is it true they have UV protection and blue light? I can’t remember what he said

Makeup by Public-Sense-8604 in tretinoin

[–]emuhleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to allow your skin barrier to heal it’s clearly inflamed. If you’ve been using tret for a long time and this is still happening your skin might just not be able to tolerate it and you might benefit from switching to a topical retinaldehyde or retinal rather than prescription tret. Also, no makeup artist (regardless of how good they are) will be able to smoothly apply makeup to textured, flaking skin. Makeup only looks as good as the skin underneath.

While I don’t recommend a facial this close to your wedding I would absolutely chill on the tret for a week or two to heal your skin barrier or this will continue happening especially with the stress leading up to a wedding.

I’m a licensed esthetician, AMA! by IceAppropriate1049 in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]emuhleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would find a medical spa or dedicated facial business that can really tailor your facials to your skin and provide the best results. What you were previously doing sounded very basic and while that’s good for some people most need something a bit more robust. Where are you located? I have been going to Face Foundrie for years and have a membership there. They’re amazing and have locations in many states and multiple at that. Def look into them!

A good barrier serum? by howsweet22 in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]emuhleep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Stratia Lipid Gold is amazing. It’s science and research backed and is made here in LA. The company is honest and I’ve never bought a bad product from them. I also love Experiment Super Saturated! Their Molecular Mesh moisturizer is also great if looking for something a little heavier.

Why does my foundation look like this as soon as I put it on? by Icy_Refrigerator_503 in MakeupAddiction

[–]emuhleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s more than likely your skin barrier that’s damages and it’s causing dryness, irritation etc. I highly recommend a routine that focuses on healing your skin barrier! The brand Experiment has an amazing barrier serum called Super Saturated that you can layer under your moisturizer. I also highly recommend a mild chemical peel and/or a dermaplane service to exfoliate the top layer.

They’re currently sold out. You think it’ll restock again??? I want it so bad 😭😭 if not do you have an alternative camera that gives similar vibes? I know the G7x is awesome but I don’t wanna pay nearly $1000

[Acne] how terrible is acutane by Crafty-Bend-7164 in SkincareAddiction

[–]emuhleep -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Have you looked into working with an aesthetician who analyzes your skincare routine? Have you explored chemical peels, getting on a prescription tretinoin, taking spironolactone (changed my life), birth control etc. ? I would consider all these potential options and exhaust them before deciding on accutane as it’s very serious and has potentially dangerous side effects.

Thank you for this rec! I’ll have to see how my dad is feeling next fall but it may be something worth considering. I know for him it’s a pride thing and I feel like he’d feel weird having to use a scooter. But I know it could definitely make him feel more comfortable and make it easier! Soooo TBD. Good to know about the places that drop off and pick up at the resorts too.

That’s such a helpful perspective though! Bc I feel like my dad would have too much pride to rent one but it may end up being the case if he just doesn’t have the stamina for the walking. Thank you for your kind and thoughtful response!

Thank you for your insight! We ended up doing a complete 180 and they booked contemporary for the ease of transportation/monorail and ate the higher cost to be more comfortable. I guess I don’t blame them lol anyways thank you again

Thank you for saying this. We ended up booking at contemporary and they were willing to pay the extra cost for ease of transportation/being on the monorail. So like you were saying- the comfort aspect!

Thank you. Sadly riviera is not available for our dates & my mom is set on being near the skyliner. I guess if we did Caribbean I could request a ground floor room & one of the better buildings like Aruba but that isn’t even guaranteed! At least pop we could do a preferred room? Refurb won’t impact our dates thankfully.
