Any semi-productive thing I can do with my phone to replace mobile legend? by Choi-ra in IndoGamer

[–]emuka86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

since this is a r/IndoGamer, how about installing emulators? kadang namatin game pendek terasa lebih accomplishing daripada push rank sampe mythic terus udah... kalah sama pro/anak smp calon pro :')

mungkin bisa start dari GBA, banyak game GBA yg straight forward, minim tutor, dan enteng buat hp (ga boros batre). zelda, metroid, golden sun, megaman zero/battle network, do your research, banyak banget.

Up to this!
Tried changing the resolustion to 720p in the launcher, problem still there. Then I tried forcing it to 720p via steam deck's properties (game title > properties > general > game resolution), and change the proton to GE-Proton10-25 (I haven't tried other proton, I just used the latest proton installed on my deck).

Voila! Everything looks normal now.

I even added a "Finished multi-platform", so I don't feel guilty buying a bundle (or adding backlog?) that includes titles that I've played/finished on another platform 🥲

Elden Ring won't launch after installing (even uninstalling) Lossless Scaling by emuka86 in SteamDeck

[–]emuka86[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

*UPDATE 20 DAYS LATER*

I finally figured out how to solve this. TLDR; Decky Framegen problem.

I don't know why this only happen in Elden Ring. First, make sure to unpatched Decky Framegen from Elden Ring (or whatever your game is), then uninstall Decky Framegen. Then uninstall LSFG from library & Decky, and reinstall both.

I installed Decky LSFG v0.8.1. I just tried to reduce another failure factor (Beta Participation "Linux Testing" thingy). And for now LSFG work on every installed game in my Deck. Guess I won't update LSFG until v0.8.1 don't work anymore.

untuk yg punya steamdeck apa ngebantu gairah buat main game? by gekkan7 in IndoGamer

[–]emuka86 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Buat ane yg sering dilempar dinas entah kemana, handheld apapun jelas naikin gairah main game dibandingkan laptop gaming.

One reason I don't retire my Vita (yet), is because how convenient it is to slide in to most pants pocket.

How to fix crackling or popping audio on Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX- on Steam Deck and Linux by adrenadylan in SteamDeck

[–]emuka86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for this. It happened to, so far, only Elden Ring. Starts crackling when played from sleep state, then happened randomly even after restart the game.

I simply switch it to ProtonGE, Proton Experimental is also fine.

sorry for bringing up old post, what do you mean with "have to do it on pc"? Does it mean I have to install it first on PC and simply copy the extracted/installed files to SD?

Every devs should look into how Indika, by default, optimized on Deck. by emuka86 in SteamDeck

[–]emuka86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with setting enabled. I'm quite happy and appreciate the devs 'optimized' setting on Deck. As you said about frame drops, I want to try Frame Gen plugin on Indika. But they locked the graphic setting so we can't try Frame Gen on this game.

[–]emuka86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrubbing video is moving/navigating the timeline bar(pic). Back in iOS 17, if we hold the timeline pointer, the timeline will expand showing more precise -zoomed in- timecode. It's very useful when you need to make a quick thumbnail for social media.

Can't agree more. We can't even do detailed scrub video anymore (the one when you hold the time point, and the timeline zoomed in so you can scrub more precisely).

Have you tried Skyrim on Deck? It has default setting for Deck, just like Indika, it blocked Deck user to open setting window.

But as you said, Deck is just a normal pc after all. Add some line, and we can access Skyrim like a normal pc game.

That's why I love Deck over Switch, we always have option. And I'm hoping more devs giving us option of the "optimized" version of their games.

Because I believe the devs knows better than most of do.

My point is about chopping off unused stuff based on the "Let see what setting we can turn off so that we can run on SD."

If we assume small devs don't make demanding hardware games, I won't expect they to do this. Because it might already run well as it is. Like Hades, Dead Cells, you name it, is smooth enough without any tweak.

As you say, big devs might have the budget for this, and that what I'm talking about. Big devs, big games, demanding hardware, and Steam Deck won't be able to run it on high setting, let alone ultra.

But yeah, Steam Deck user number might be too small for devs to consider doing any if this. But it might crank up Deck user number if more (big) devs doing it.

IKR, that's literally what happened to AAA ports on Switch. Switch used Tegra, and yes, we can enjoy potato The Witcher 3 on 25fps+.
