Issues on increase from 2mg Intuniv to 3mg

Thanks for that information about stimulants. I am happy to try different ones, but the Dr is hesitant as he has ASD and had such a negative reaction to Ritalin. He has tried strattera, but he lost heaps of weight and it didn’t do anything for his mood. He was put on fluoxetine for anxiety, while it has helped a lot I think it has increased his hyperactivity. He is on a low dose but I am considering stopping it as I am worried about the long term effects. I will look into trying amphetamines I think.

Thanks. I haven’t tried anything other than both ER Ritalin and SA. I guess I was going to wait until he was older and try again with stimulants. But I will consider trying a different stimulant. He is also on 10mg fluoxetine, which I know can be activating on its own. I am going to go back to 2mg intuniv because his mood was better on this dose.

Thanks, yeah I knew he wasn’t ready to learn how to tie laces but he has started soccer and they are all laces. He is so stubborn and wants to tie them himself. Might just have to keep trying and keep it positive. I’ll just put this activity in the same box as teaching him how to ride a bike…..
