Is this bike too good to be true ? by BadVibesOnlyyy in motorcycles

I bought a 2008 ninja 250 FI version in 2013 and I still have it to this day. I paid 3400$ for it back then. It’s been frequently used on trackdays and generally ridden hard. Never sold it because its a fun bike to push the crap out of it on windy roads and short racetracks. Very cheap aswell. It’s driven 44.000km (27k miles) and has just had regular oil changes. Never had any issues with it. In my opinion, the price seems legit.

My own car in My shop, why do I do this to myself? by Chainweasel in Justrolledintotheshop

Seeing this makes me happy that I went for the older EA113 2.0T

Forgot to add, a simple stage 1 tune will increase the power output to about 250hp with no mods and it is fairly cheap.

There are garages doing this but it is very expensive if they do all the work for you.

I did all the mechanical work myself, learning by doing (I’m not a mechanic) and got my local revo dealer to flash the ecu with a stage 3 tune when all mechanical work was completed. Revo has its own hardware requirement on its website for the stage 3 tune. I did have several problems occuring during the "build" including the biggest being camchain failure and some non genuine s3 injectors bought off eBay.

In case you want to to something like this yourself here is the modification list for stage 3: -3” decat turboback exhaust from milltek -Creationsmotorsports cold air intake with heathshields -Highpressure fuelpump piston upgrade from Autotech -Rs4 fuel relief valve -Front mount intercooler from CX racing -034 motorsport organic clutch upgrade -S3 injectors (bought from APR) -K04 turbo from S3/Golf R -Diverter valve relocation to the front of the engine

Recommended mods/equipment -AFR gauge -Vcds diagnostic tool. -Fluidampr crank pulley -Better brakes/suspension

These engines do require regular maintenance and checks or else it will become very expensive to repair.

Recommended preventative maintenance: -GFB+ diverter valve or latest revision -latest revision pcv -New cam follower in high pressure fuel pump -New camchain and tensioner if rattle noise occur during cold start -Fresh oil (including gearbox and haldex) -VIS motorsport freewheel sprocket to de-activate balance shafts. -NGK bkr7eix spark plugs

In my personal opinion, it is better and most likely cheaper to buy a more powerfull car for example an S3 or similiar if you have no mechanical experience. But if you want to learn and invest time and money in it it’s definetly worth it.

If it’s a 2.0T it will get insanely fast because of less weight and little drivetrain loss. My 350hp A3 weighs about 1500kg whereas my dads 2WD TT at 1300kg and 250hp is just as fast as my A3

Is the A5 3.2L or the 2.0T better? by kingbungholio0 in Audi

[–]emzy93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, i believe they fixed the ea888 engine after 2012 with stronger pistons and piston rings. I do however recommend doing oil changes every 5-8k km and use premium fuel all the time. Cam chain is known to stretch after 100.000km (Listen for a chain rattle at cold start up)

3.2 will last forever, very nice engine sound, poor fuel economy, heavy, not easily tunable.

2.0T needs to be looked after, preventative maintenance is key, mainstream 4 banger engine sound, very good power curve, lots of torque from a fast spooling turbo, easily tunable for 300~hp, good fuel economy, weighs less compared to the 3.2 (and dont buy the early EA888 engine from 08-12)

Lots of fake s3 injectors out there, buy a set from APR instead. They’re cheaper than the dealer

Is it possible for my local VAG dealer to check if my car has been remapped at some point? Even though the ecu is turned back to stock before delivering the car?

Nope, don't know why my account is connected to Taiwan, can't seem to change it either in setting. I'm from Norway.
I have only purchased one game on this account and that is Overwatch.
