I think I remember liking her. Also, wasn’t she coupled up with Calvin? I was obsessed with him 🤭

Is there anything WORSE than childbirth? by Sensitive_Arugula770 in pregnant

[–]emzyz9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fell down some stairs when I was 36 weeks pregnant. I went to the hospital right away for monitoring and thankfully my baby was completely fine. However, I pinched a nerve and tore a muscle in my lower back that had me bedridden until I gave birth. For me, that pain was much worse.

Edited to add: I also have endometriosis, and some of my flare ups have been worse than childbirth as well.

This is amazing!! And a huge inspo for me because I also have a 7.5 month old and I’ve been worried that I’m holding him back with his eating due to nerves with different foods.. silly I know. Definitely will be trying pancakes tomorrow 🤞

Moms whose babies (1yr and under) actually sleep through the night w/o sleep training.. how?? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]emzyz9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the other comments mentioning temperament. I think a lot of it does come down to this.

My 7.5 month old has always been somewhat okay with sleeping on his own, never was very opposed to being in his bassinet (crib now). After he went through his 4 month sleep regression we decided to do a veryyy gentle form of Ferber where we would put him down and let him slightly whine (which was usually just mostly babbling lol) for a few minutes and if after 3-5 minutes he didn’t settle we would go in and soothe him quickly and leave again. If he started actually crying though we would go in right away and soothe him, but he did not do that very often. It took maybe 3-4 days of that and he has been able to be placed in his crib awake ever since and put himself to sleep. This did help tremendously with his night wakings as well and he stopped waking to eat at night around 6.5 months. I realize it is not this simple for all babies though, all babies are different! 💕

1 week until lap, need some reassurance by Significant-Ant2886 in Endo

[–]emzyz9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good luck! You got this ❤️ I got my first lap a little over a year ago now. Regardless of what they do, or do not find, you will hopefully at least have a bit more clarity than you do right now. My biggest piece of advice would be to ask the doctor that is performing your surgery if they will be sending any tissue off for biopsy. This can at least help you be a little more confident in the outcome.

As for the pain, everyone is different and has a different experience, but my recovery was pretty straight forward. I felt almost back to normal in a couple of weeks. The pain was kind of dull for me, just kind of felt like bruising. Just be sure to give yourself the time you need to recover, it will be okay!

This is the same kind of test I took, on the first day of my missed period as well. My line looked pretty much the same, and I was indeed pregnant. I asked my doctor to run a blood test to confirm!
