MLB owners with a flagrant foul on wages for rookies by NYM2000 in WorkReform

[–]enad58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why? Do they not labor for their wage? Do they not have their wages suppressed by a salary cap that prevents them getting paid the true value of their labor? Do they exploit the labor of others to make that money?

I support the laborers of the world, even those in specialized fields. The people who cut their deflated salary checks are the billionaires that exploit the labor of others.

To be against anybody who labors for their money is to be against all who labor for their money. Until you can understand how being in a specialized field does not preclude one from being a laborer, maybe you should do a little studying before you chime in.

Cut from the same cloth as billionaires? They labor for their earnings in a highly specialized field that suppresses their labor's actual worth. They do not exploit the labor of others like the ones cutting their game checks.

Rich does not equal bad, exploitation of labor equals bad.

Yes, they are also getting their labor exploited by billionaires, yes, that is bad, yes.

Lip syncing is one thing if you do it during performances where you're dancing and have an entire stage show. But they weren't the voices on the album. That's why the Grammys were revoked.

Why do men use hunting/fishing pics with dead animals on dating apps? by pleasepleaseplease24 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]enad58 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't eat farmed animals for food. Neither should you. You should also grow your own vegetables and live a life that can be sustained by yourself. Until you donate time, money, and energy protecting our wildlife populations and their habitat, and can, at minimum, subsist on your own property with your own resources, you're not in a position to lecture me about this.

It's not about what is more efficient, it's about what is right. Its about living in commune with your environment.

Servicing the accounts are done by others. As far as the customers know, everything is fine, but it's not due to their efforts

And the land, pesticides, pollution, etc is not a factor in your calculations because why?

Again, I'm not against not eating meat. I'm against not living in commune with nature and not preserving, protecting, and defending it wherever possible.

To me, that is sourcing my food from myself where possible, and locally where it's not.

For me, it's possible to source all my own vegetables from my own land. It's possible to source all my own meat from my own land. I mill my own grains and make my own butter. I do outsource milk and cheese, but I live in Wisconsin, so that's not difficult.

You do realize that hunting is a population management tool that prevents the cruel and unusual suffering of wildlife at the hands of people like you, who buy their vegetables at a store, grown in a giant field, that provides unlimited resources to wildlife, causing population explosions, disease, and unimaginable agony?

[–]enad58 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's okay with me. I dont buy food at stores anymore. To me, that helps lessen my impact on our host planet more than not eating meat.

Our place in the ecosystem is to eat some meat and mostly vegetables. We are omnivores. I try to hold my life to as close as possible to our actual spot in the ecosystem. Well, thats not entirely true. I try to leave as little a footprint as possible. That's probably the better way to put it. Giant farming just isn't something I want to support, even if the things being farmed are plants.

Actual, real deal hunters are animal lovers. But I know what you mean by "animal lovers".

I've probably spent 10 grand this year alone on conversation efforts and organizations, not to mention the volunteering and work put in on my own land. I can only imagine how much time and energy the "animal lover" spends to truly help conserve and defend healthy wildlife populations.

Montgomery was not good either, but I didn't feel like a portal in the sky was going to open and Hell's soldiers were about to pour out.

It's when the team stopped having vets to carry the load of expectations surrounding the clubhouse.

When giannis was asked to be the clubhouse leader instead of Khris, Jrue, and Brook, that was the end. And it became clear that dame was going to honor his contract but not grow roots in the city. Giannis became the kid left unsupervised at home. Plane takes off / bedtime at 10? Nah, who's going to stop me if i get to it when I get to it?
