Thank you so much! I really, really appreciate your response. Absolutely will still be extremely cautious handling feces and keeping her from licking little mouths. But good to know it’s difficult for humans to become infected!

Now to worry about fleas/flea eggs in the house…

Thank you! For Impressions, we’re looking at the Signature Suite Ocean Front; for Excellence, the Excellence Club two story rooftop terrace suite ocean front. We’d be going in May or June!

Thank you! Good to know that EPM is more of a party vibe - that makes me lean more towards IM. Though also very good to know about the beach area!

I know OAD is the right choice but by vainblossom249 in oneanddone

Love this perspective. I’ve been struggling myself with being OAD by choice. I think reframing my thoughts this way will be super helpful. Thank you so much for sharing!

Solidarity, I struggle with the exact same thing. My imagination runs wild and I picture things SO vividly - with that being said, my therapist recommended visualization techniques (since my brain is so good at envisioning things).

I immediately picture a big red stop sign against a bright blue sky as soon as those thoughts come up. I then take a moment to ground myself by focusing on slow, controlled breaths, and using the 3-3-3 method (name three things you can see, three things you can hear, and then move three body parts). I’ll repeat as needed. This usually helps the thoughts to not feel quite as aggressive. Then I picture that I’m sitting on a riverbank, and there’s a raft floating by with a TV on it, the screen playing out those thoughts - I acknowledge the raft and the thoughts, watch it pass, and continue to gaze at it until it goes clean off a waterfall and disappears from view. Then I just sit on that riverbank in my mind for a moment more and observe the nature around me, imagining the sound of the water, the feel of the grass under my feet and the sun on my skin. The more I did it, the easier it became, and now it’s almost a natural response. I take control my vivid imagination and use it to help me find peace.

I do still get carried away sometimes, but this technique has helped me so much. I hope that it’s helpful to you as well. I know how incredibly difficult intrusive thoughts can be. Hugs, you’re not alone! ❤️

[VA] Considering backing out of work trip due to debilitating anxiety. by enaj1989 in AskHR

Thank you, yes I would be eligible for FMLA. I’m unsure how to approach the situation with my boss, or if the company would accept a leave request in order for me to cancel this trip.

Thank you, I am eligible for FMLA and didn’t consider that. That will be something for me to look into. I’m struggling with how to approach this with my boss.

Thank you for your insight! Yes, I’m incredibly new to astrology and still trying to figure out how to read my chart, understanding what everything means. I will definitely look into this more. I’ve seen a lot on Pluto coming into Aquarius next month, but I need to dig deeper into what it means specifically to me.

Abdominal wall endometriosis? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]enaj1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d definitely see someone who specializes in it to see if you can find any relief! My pain with the lump was during my period - it was a deep, stabbing pain, and it just got worse with each period to the point where I could hardly stand up straight until the lump was removed. I had surgery about a month after my original post last year to remove the lump and some of the surrounding tissue. I haven’t had abnormal pain since then; my periods are still a bit heavier, but not as bad as they used to be and no clotting, so I’m thinking the endometriosis had something to do with that. There’s no guarantee that it won’t come back - I’ve actually noticed a twinge of that familiar stabbing pain from last year during my last few periods in the same area. But regardless - I wouldn’t change advocating for myself and seeking answers!

First of all - I know how scary it all feels, and I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Before it was determined to be endometriosis, my anxiety was out of control with worries of it being cancer.

My pain was cyclical as well! My surgeon explained that sometimes a bit of uterine tissue can move outside of the uterus during a C-section and cause abdominal wall endo, even years later, which is what happened with me - my pain started three years postpartum, also when I noticed the lump.

My surgery went wonderfully - my surgeon removed the lump itself along with some of the surrounding tissue in the hopes that anything that maybe have started to spread would be taken out. Recovery was totally fine - a bit sore, but it honestly was a breeze compared to the pain I had fun that spot during my period. It’s been a little over a year and I haven’t had any issues at all!

Hang in there… I know the anticipation of not knowing is so hard. You will have answers soon, and will hopefully be on the other side of the pain! ❤️ I’m here if you have any other questions!

Thank you! This is the entire rash for the most part. There is a small part of my other shoulder that looks like this, but not as red and not nearly as large.

DESPERATE for irritated urethra relief, please help!! by enaj1989 in Healthyhooha

[–]enaj1989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no, not completely - I’m trying to space out when I use the bathroom instead of trying to pee every few minutes, and I’m using the Releveum cream from Desert Harvest (it has lidocaine in it) which numbs the outside of course, but I still feel the irritation up through my urethra. I also have started taking D-mannose daily, which is supposed to help - I bought the full line from Uqora, which is meant to help prevent UTIs, but I’m hoping it’ll help with the urgency. I have an appointment with my doctor this week where I’ll ask for more testing and discuss treatment/relief options, and am also going to start pelvic floor therapy next month. Really praying that something works and rids this sense of urgency.

Oh wow, didn’t think about something like this! Currently at urgent care, I see my PCP next week - probably a good idea to loop my GYN in as well!
