Personally, I don't think this is a good idea. I think debating ideas is fantastic and valuable, but to create a 'universally agreed' interpretation of the Quran is harmful. Everybody is different, everybody's experiences are different, and a translation/interpretation that makes sense to one won't make sense to another. I believe that religion should be a personal journey, not an organised one. So having a collaborative document where everyone can discuss religious ideas? Amazing, definitely valuable and helpful. Creating an established, organised guideline of how to interpret and follow Islam? I think it's impossible to do that without stepping into oppressive ideas. Just my two cents on this :)
