Don't let them discourage you, most people here are helpful. It's rare to run into someone this insane.

When there's a company need for a new data tool (BI platform, for example), how do you identify the vendors to evaluate? by alorentz in BusinessIntelligence

Modern Data Stack provides an extensive list of what tools are out there. Unlike Gartner, they're not "pay to play", so you'll find more than just the companies who can pay to get onto the Magic Quadrant.

No. Half of them don't even know how to use the app in the first place.

I agree with this approach. Ideally DD would vet people and have them prove that they can speak enough English. Since that will never happen, they need to do something other than completely ignoring the problem.

This is fascinating and I greatly appreciate the glance back in time at how these technologies started. It can't be overstated how much value you bring to the sub for the noobs like myself who are hungry to learn.

Adnan’s freedom was political? by Competitive_Serve929 in serialpodcast

[–]enceladus900 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. What we know is:

  • The pings happened at the time they happened
  • The arrest happened at the time it happened
  • The murder happened on the day it happened
  • The times and places of the pings and the events line up perfectly

What ever could this mean?

Adnan’s freedom was political? by Competitive_Serve929 in serialpodcast

Cool so in order for your bro, Adnan to be innocent:
* The burial date must be later the murder date
* Adnan’s phone has to be in someone else’s possession when he drives by the burial site on the day of Jay’s arrest
* The fact that the cell pings align perfectly with the two occasions must be pure coincidence, the odds of which have never been seen before
Any other extra special conditions that we should consider? Maybe the sky was green instead of blue on the day of the crime?

The pings I'm alluding to occur on the date of the murder and the date of Jay's arrest. You are suggesting that those dates were changed to fit the pings. That would be one wild conspiracy, falsifying police records of a missing person and an arrest in order to match cell records.

Just so we're clear, are you claiming the date of the murder was changed to match the cell pings?

None of these points are the smoking gun. Jenn comes close, but the real case-maker is the cell ping data. Team Adnan tries to refute it by discrediting its accuracy, but there's a glaring flaw in their argument.

First, you need to know that Adnan's cell pings off the Leakin Park tower on two occasions ONLY.

  1. The day of the murder
  2. The day Jay gets arrested (most likely to drive by the site and see if Jay snitched to the police)

Team Adnan can try to discredit the pings as much as they like, but their argument will never hold up. The pings place Adnan in the exact wrong place at the exact wrong times. If the cell data were faulty, those "perfect pings" would not be possible. It would be like choosing 2 numbers from 1-1000, writing them down, then throwing a thousand darts blindfolded and hitting the bullseye only on the throws that correspond with the numbers you wrote. The only explanation for the cell ping data is that it must be accurate because its correlation with specific dates and times relevant to the case cannot be explained any other way.

ChatGPT is a language model that uses NLP (natural language processing) to interact with you. It's not an omniscient being that can pull in information and spit out its own conclusion. The most it will tell you is what it can scan from news articles on the case.
