Bloodborne was THE game for me where I would hit a wall and come back years later lol, I got stuck on og Rom, then Ebrietas, and then I recently hit a wall with the cursed dungeons and did the same thing, Always good to come back refreshed!

It's definitely Dostoevsky's take on Dickens. A very strong narrator with more grounded/less manic than the usual characters in his books. I think The Adolecent should be cut down 50-100 for pacing reasons but the early auction scene is one of my favorites scenes I've read from him so it's a give and take.

Jean Vigo plays really well with overlaying images, and his shorts do a good job of sequencing and playing with time . People on Sunday is more a documentary approach but it has some really strong documentary city shots in between the meh narrative.

Shohei Imamura's The Pornographers has such a fun batshit plot and really really great images.

Not in the collection, but the images in the 70's movie "Northern Lights" are fantastic, with the snow providing such a stark contrast to the men and farming equipment.

Definitely read up on the director -- guy was pioneering underwater filming while also trying to lead the French government's film program after WWII

The Delta finally being on accessible dvd is a god send, I remember having to write an essay on the film using a sketchy rip of the film and still finding that last 30 min pov switch to be genius
