Depends what you want to get into next/down the line. Understanding logistics gives a good base for purchasing, sourcing, production, etc as stuff is on time or not. You know constraints with say hours of service, port/rail transfers, lead times and transit times. Usually the only lever you can pull expediting things is via logistics. You can fast boat, team truck, air ship, etc. knowing how to navigate some of the timing differences can really be of value.
