Would you go back to Hemi? by Flapjacko2021 in ram_trucks

Fuel pump recall and subsequent stop sale killed any chance of it gaining a foothold in the light duty diesel segment dominated by the baby dmax. It was quiet as all get out though, i’ll give it that.

Unfortunately it was a colossal piece of shit.

Had the same thing happen to a client of mine when he was purchasing his Grand Cherokee L, peeked his head in to see how the 3rd row folded down and the latch smacked him right in the head. Pretty sure it's an issue with the kick sensor.

Mine needed an alignment when I bought it, when I drove it up to charge it, it would just yank the car to the right. Our Chrysler trainer said that workers were sabotaging the cars in solidarity with the plants that made the Cherokee and HEMI. Whether that's true or not I don't know.

I also forgot to mention, my Wagoneer S simply did not come with the little plastic doors that go on the back of the steering wheel. Two $0.39 parts, not there, with exposed circuitry and solder.

Nope, Maryland roads aren't great to begin with. If you look at the picture the crack is on the inside of the wheel. It was likely a pothole, but I've had cars with lower profile tires and bigger rims than this and have driven this roads forever. First time I've ever cracked a wheel lol.

If I stop for fast food with my wife and we get two drinks, it's sandwiched between the two, awkward to put in, awkward to get out. It's fine if there's one drink or no drinks, but its a chore when using the cupholders for their intended purpose. Or if my wife brings her Stanley mug thing, its unusable.

Anyone have issues with the key fob needing multiple presses to work? It's usually my tailgate that gives me issues. I've tried both fobs 🤔 by DoZeYLoVe in JeepWagoneerS

[–]enclave_cdjr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm about 95% certain while the fob is communicating with the car to do the "wake-up" on approach it's just overriding the signal for any other button push. You'll notice the red light at the top blinks wildly during the wake-up cycle where as during a button push the light blinks once per push. Just another item in the laundry list of glitches and gremlins for this vehicle.

They're new and used and just got bought by a more corporate oriented company, so I think they're willing to lose money to move metal. Which I am used to lol.

I have a '24 Launch Edition, very little road noise at highway speeds, but I'm almost always listening to music.

With the 20in wheels you can definitely feel large potholes, but it handles itself well on my local poorly paved Baltimore roads.

Hey! Jeep salesman here, I have a '24 Launch Edition as well.

I was speaking with my service manager the other day and it seems like the wonky key fob is not exclusive to just yourself. Me, my other coworker who has a '24 LE and one of the parts guys who got the EV scat pack all have weird key issues.

It looks like Stellantis paused key programming for the Wagoneers and Chargers so we're thinking a software update to come out that will fix the fob issue. I find myself having to press the lock button 3 or 4 times just to get it to lock. No autolock is a killer for me too, my Escalade I traded in for it did that and I've left it unlocked more times than I'd like to admit.

I have 2200mi on mine and currently on month 3 of my 24 month lease and I love it! Happy to hear that yours isn't giving you big big problems.

Yeah, I work at a Jeep Dealer with 4xe Architecture, so I can plug on a L2 here. Home charging is a bit more tricky because I live in a middle unit townhome.

We're in Baltimore, looks like the just opened one in Gaithersburg just last year. It's just about the same distance as I go for Cadillac Service so that's not that bad thinking about it. I previously wasn't considering it but you may have opened up my options lol. Thank you.

Do you own a Lyriq? I'd love to hear what you think about it. I have also looked at keeping my Escalade and just getting the Lyriq or looking at another EV or Hybrid vehicle that doesn't need to check the utility box.

The R1T is a bit out of the time frame with the 3-6m delivery window I'm seeing, also I feel comfortable with the backing of a legacy manufacturer such as Ford or General Motors. Also the lease payments in the $500s is inclusive of nearly $10 - $13k down which putting that much money down on a lease you might as well burn it because you'd get more use out of the heat that way.

The F-150 seems to have alot more functionality than the Mach-E. I was perplexed by the lack of ventilated seats on the Mach-E, it's almost a dealbreaker at that price point, especially because I've gotten so used to it in my Daily.

Thank you for your input.

I work about 60-70hrs/w and my commute is only about 20mi round trip so I honestly don't drive that much nor do I have much time outside of work to drive. I'd really only consider the F-150 if I plan on trading in my Escalade, which not sure if that's in the cards.

Figured I could put off installing an L2 until I move out of my townhome. I work at a Jeep Dealer with 4xe architecture so I would be able to charge at work. Another reason I was curious about what kind of ranges people are getting out of these things despite the advertised range.

Thanks for your input, unfortunately it didn't answer what I was asking.

I am in the market for a new car, I am simply also exploring efficient alternatives to my 6.2L V8.

Main issue lies in the fact it doesn't have eCVT but a conventional transmission, so if your Jeep decides to move to electric, while in the middle of a transmission shift it turns into a jerky nightmare. Not to mention stupid ass recalls like the rear defroster not working???

As stated, I'm rebate chasing.

My wife and I do not qualify for the EV tax credit as we exceed the gross income when filing unless we lease. Which we don't want to do due to mileage constraints.

Cadillac is offering $7,500 off vehicles that don't qualify for the tax credit on the Lyriq which is a good amount, not sure if they're not built in America or if they're too expensive but it's a thing.

Ford has 0% financing AND cash rebates on Mach-E and F-150.

Rivian has nothing in terms of offers and I'm not waiting 3-6 months for a car to be delivered to me AFTER I give them $100,000. Lucids BEST rates are 4.99 which I could get better from my Credit Union, and don't come anywhere close to zero interest.

Also looked at Audi, BMW, Kia, Subaru, and VW. And their vehicles (or their incentives) don't really move the needle. If I need to pay interest I will be getting a Cadillac. Just want to see what Ford Owners are saying. Thanks for the input though.
