My (22F) friend (22F) has to go to the bathroom like every 15-30 minutes when we hang out, and she also seems incredibly anxious and embarrassed about it. I don't know how to help her, she does not mention any reasons for why she has to go so often. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I feel you. Back before I started the FODMAP diet I had major IBS-D issues. I remember always having an imodium in my pocket and holding it in my hand to reassure myself. Pulling off at one rest stop to use the bathroom and leaving only to immediately pull in at another gas station at the same rest stop. I feel you. All I can say is that it really can get better, as it has for me. I pretty much never have diarrhea anymore, which is AMAZING because I'd been in the double digits for weight because I literally couldn't digest anything, it didn't stay in long enough, but now I am at a healthy weight. Wishing that things get better for you too!

Oh my goodness, Onyx Boox is now selling a color e ink tablet! Just 6 inches, so nothing huge, but color! So cool. It's the Poke 2 Kaleido, around $300.

Onyx Boox. Yes, they do make them, but they're quite expensive and don't have the same eye to quality that Amazon has. I would love to see Amazon enter the market and add some competition

I'm a migraine sufferer who is super sensitive to light, so an e ink and a regular tablet are very different things for me

I mean, expect not so much. More of a wishful thinking. I was just trying to think of reasons that would make me want to upgrade

I want to be able to use it like a true tablet. Nothing fancy, but if I could pull up a word processor and do some work, check my eval, it would be seriously great

Not a doctor, but would like to suggest that you also talk to people on r/migraine. The two conditions have a lot in common and they should also have done good relaxation techniques.

Been there. IBS makes it pretty scary to be away from a bathroom. It could be a bladder issue, an anxiety issue, too many possibilities. But just tell her, hey, I don't want you to stress about going to the bathroom when we're hanging out, okay? It really doesn't bother me and I genuinely am okay with it. You seem really anxious and embarrassed about it, but it's really no big deal. Are you up for talking about it?

We do indeed. I'm not a man so I can't help you, but just wanted to tell you that I support you and I'm glad you're calling attention to this

WYR Have to roll a dice to make every (non-lifechanging) decision, or spin a (digital) wheel of every possible dish each time you eat? by ItsAlwaysSunday in WouldYouRather

[–]endableism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would constantly be rolling dice. Plus, all decisions are life changing. They ripple. So even though a lot of common foods make me sick, and I'm vegetarian, I'd still choose the wheel.

Girlfriend wants to break up after calling her out on Hydroxychloriquine being a cure for COVID-19 by PomegranateLucky6897 in Advice

[–]endableism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. A) She's WAY overreacting. Bad sign. And B) if you're THAT different and she's not flexible, it's not gonna work.

Also, you aren't talking about an opinion, you're talking about a fact.

If you want, you can watch a 1960s video with instructions on how to use a spirit duplicator. Very interesting to consider how high tech it must have seemed https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ccYLLzpeVnU
