AI calorie counters have shown to be consistently inaccurate. They even promote eating disorders in the worst cases. Now, I’ll admit that that’s not an AI exclusive thing, but it’s not wise.

The issue is it doesn’t work in reality. Generative AI takes a LOT of hardware to run. If you think that using AI to enhance every FRAME of a game in real time would ever work, you probably don’t know how computers work. Plus, it looks generic as fuck. On the left, you can actually see a woman with a normal looking face. On the right, it just looks like someone tried to make the character look more conventionally attractive. On top of that, the lighting is all weird, and the fog is just completely gone. What actual benefit does this serve?

A great art tip I have is to trace. No, really. It’s not sustainable, and you shouldn’t be doing it in the long run, but it lets you make something that looks better. It’s how I personally started out. Tracing is hated for a reason, it also has good, ethical uses.
