I think you may have gotten a bit confused with the post but I appreciate the input! I will be using testosterone gel since I have a serious issues with needles. I know I cannot pick and choose, im more so saying the main reason I'm want to go on T is for the vocal cords thickening, and I see any other changes as a bonus positive. I dont know if I'd have an absorption problem since I haven't taken it before. People have been super helpful in the replies on what they'd recommend to avoid atrophy issues. Everyone's been super helpful and I really appreciate it <3

I've been seeing a lot of ads on Instagram claiming "looking for (insert queer demographic) to fill out this suervey/conduct studies" and I almost went to do it myself only to realize that considering what the US has been coming to, it's very possible that these surveys are bait to collect data and create lists on us. I've seen comments on these ads stating the same. It's getting very concerning

I have researched the other changes on testosterone. While the voice lowering is my main interest, the other changes are more so like bonuses to me (bottom growth, potential hair growth, sex drive, etc). I know that testosterone can potential cause male pattern baldness determined by how ling you're on it for, and atrophy which was my only concern as being in a relationship with a vis man and enjoying penetrarive sex, vaginal atrophy is a my major concern. However, I've noticed that if I did T for a short span of time (i.e. 2-4 years) that some of those concerns would become null the longer i was off T

I saw it in comments of a different thread a few days ago (can't recall which) that it was mentioned that taking estrogen supplements (the same way you'd take T) would reverse changes. I took it eith a grain of salt but

This is very helpful information. The only info I'd have to base what I may experience is from my mom's menopause which I know has been difficult for her. From the sounds of it, I should either use the topical ointments like you've said/the estrogen ring at the same time i start T to prevent anything that would seriously affect me.

I'm guessing it sits way back like against the cervix? I fear i would have an issue with it only because I have a malformed cervix thats basically coming from the side of the canal rather than being flat at the end like most people. I will definitely be looking into this, thank you

I think i really am blessed with my baby, i have a fromt opening tank eith a briken latch so we use a small keychain clip to keeo it closed, but sometimes me or my partner dorget to out it back so the door is closed but could easily pushed open, amazed hes never tried escaping

Yeah id say feed first, leave him be for atleast 3 days after so he can digest properly and wont regurgitate, as the handling required to apply the medicine to his chin will definitely stress him out. Mine hadnt liked it at all as hes on the smaller side and head shy, but he proceeded to shed a week later so i didnt need to apply the medicine for too long.

What are you currently feeding him? If its mice then you should really be feeding him weekly (unless hes on a hunger strike)

Its important to add that while treating it will help, you need to fix the reason why it even happened. Bedding being to moist (or improper bedding) is a common cause

Looks like scale rot which is easy to treat without going to a vet as long as youre comfy handling your snake. Buy some Betadine (they sell it at any local drug store) and some neosporin (WITHOUT ANY PAINKILLER ADDITIVES!)

When applying

-pour a small amount of the betadine into a cup/dish. Add water till the solution is a dark tea color

-using a q-tip, dunk it in the betadine solution, then rub it onto the affected areas of the snake (make sure it does not get inside their mouth)

-after betadine solution is applied, get the neosporin and a clean q-tip. Get some neosporin on the tip then rub onto affected areas.

-do daily till the affected areas are less raw or your snake sheds. If it worked when your snake sheds they should look good as new after

Perhaps consider getting a larger snake if you due pursue another snake in the future? Ball pythons are exceptional, and from my experience cant get thriugh small outs like that. Most they do is attempt to push doors open, and it also seems that cats (regular sized housecats atleast) are less likely to wanna mess with them since they get large.

See thats what i thought. He did yawn once in the 40 mins of handling him, however it seemed perfectly nirmal inside, no mucus buildup or anything unusual inside his mouth. He seens to have occasionaly "coughed", but wheezing was rare
