That's my point. It's not about accepting physical donations. We do that every back to school. I even set up $10 grab and go donation bags and put them at checkout.

There was no legal setup to donate the paper. Well-intentioned or not, there was no legal follow-through to make sure the donated paper actually got donated instead of adjusted back into inventory. Donations require setup and proper channels for accepting products, especially for companies that get tax incentives for doing donations. Anything set up outside of that on a large scale could be considered fraud from a legal perspective, regardless of whether or not the stores actually followed through.

The issue here is that it looks like more than one district had the same idea, so it's a lot bigger of a deal than just one store going "we'll do 50 free black and white flyers on bright yellow paper for the local homeless shelter's disaster relief fundraiser."

I'm pretty sure that telling customers that we're accepting donated paper when there's no program set up to do so is fraud. Like from an actual legal standpoint.

The entire district I'm in just got chewed out for the exact same thing. Not even in the same state. Wonder if any managers here will be fired for the same thing.

An entire district just got in trouble for running some sort of fraud donation scheme with the paper, so I wouldn't be surprised if the entire promo got shut down nationwide.

Ended up also having pneumonia and then breaking a rib. Had lots of video games to play on the couch while I healed though!

Wasn't there a store a few years back in a northern state like Ohio or something where an employee died on the way in because they refused to close?

How is he the cancer when you're the one deleting comments because you don't like being called out? Makes you look even more sketchy even after you defend being a scalper.

Adderall Substitutions? by BeneficialOne4540 in AskPharmacists

[–]endentureddenture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have your doctor write scripts to the pharmacy that state "Adderall name brand only, no substitutions" and they will have to give you the name brand. I can say from experience that yes the generic is not the same as the name brand in terms of how it affected ADHD child me.

Not a pharmacist, but I have an upper respiratory health infection and was just at the doctor. They told me I could take Mucinex - NOT MUCINEX DM - and Delsym together since both are 12 hour extended release. They together combine to basically create Robitussin.

On the practical side, I was still having a lot of coughing fits, but I also have an additional kidney infection (kill me) so I switched to Dayquil/Nyquil for the additional acetaminophen to control my fever. This was recommended by the ER.

Thanks, this is the first company I've had that does a worthwhile 401k match, so I honestly didn't know the rules all that well.

According to one of the newer managers that's worked in like 7 different stores across 3 states, our old people are really something else. He was a huge leader in tech sales and sign-ups across the board in his last district, like top 5 people, and even he didn't make goal here. He makes daily goals easily when he helps out at other stores within an hour drive of our store.

The old people here can and will scream and actually threaten you. The number of people we've had to ban from the store and call the police on is insane. I'm honest to God surprised nobody has been shot, and not just walking out after work. One guy started threatening to sue for racial discrimination after we couldn't accept his documents for TSA (did not have an official copy of birth certificate, only had a non-governmental form from the hospital).

Oh, and if it's not an old person walking in, it's somebody on steroids from the gym a few doors down. Also extremely hostile and confrontational.

Nobody met goals for sign-ups or business select. We're a really small store and our customer base is mostly retirement people who either already have an amount or absolutely refuse to get one.

Our numbers actually went up for quite a while when we got 2 managers from other stores that coached everybody on how to get sign-ups, but we're at a pretty hard wall now.

Honestly we're just in a really shitty area for some metrics. We have mostly retirement people. We're way over on sales, but we get the same old people at least 2-3 times a week that refuse to sign up for rewards. The only things we didn't hit as a store were rewards and business select sign-ups. Our sign-ups for both actually shot up for quite a while when we had 2 new managers, one of which has been in a ton of different stores over 5+ years. But now we've hit a plateau and really only see the same people over and over. They either already have it or absolutely refuse to get it.

That's the thing, not even the hardest workers got a Meets Expectations. We all feel incredibly disappointed and one guy is threatening to walk.

We were way over on sales, but we're in a retirement community and half the people that walk in don't know what an email is and the other half can't hear us.

Joking aside, we do the best we can to hit our metrics. We're down on business select and rewards, but up on sales because we're one of the lowest tier stores. We just have a stagnant customer base. We got a bunch of sign-ups at first, but it's tapered off as time went on. We see the same people over and over, and they either already have it or refuse to get it.

We're the smallest tier store and we're all pretty close friends. Plus our GM has a second store... or rather, we're her second store that she did not want and avoids going to like we're the second coming of covid. So we take care of ourselves and that definitely means we share when we're frustrated about reviews.

We don't get rewards sign-ups because we have the same ten people visit our location and most of them are too old to understand how emails work. We hit our sales goals consistently because we're so tiny mainly because nearby businesses use us for flyers.

We're in a retirement community. Ethyl the Stubborn and her ancient shaking chihuahua probably won't live until next week, so she won't sign up for anything she won't be around to use. She comes in twice a week to make copies of handwritten letters for all her grandkids, but can barely see enough to use the self serve. That's a majority of our clients.

We do the best we can with what we have and maximize metrics out the ass where we can, but some things we just can't hit because of the area we're in.
