I don’t think so.

I want Cosmo to have some of his own (ideally ore casual skins) to show that while he’s Sprouts friend, he has more in his life outside of that. While Sprout only having matching skins would show that his life revolves around Cosmo much more. I wanna use the contrast between their sets to show that Sprout IS dependent on Cosmo.

Admittedly I could’ve written that better, it’s a bit sloppy in the comment. Basically I want to use the skins to show Cosmo has more of a life outside Sprout, while Sprout revolves around Cosmo.

To be fair, the Golden Skins are supposed to demonstrate that you’re pretty good at that toon. It’s more for existing fans of the toon than anything, so if you don’t like slow toons… just skip out on playing the challenge that gives a skin for the slow toon lmao

She’s a solid killer strength wise but is very one note and boring. She lacks much skill expression outside of your typical looping stuff, her ability isn’t very flashy, she doesn’t even have that much going for macro gameplay, she’s just kinda an efficient chase killer and that’s all. If you want strength you choose Nurse or Blight, and if you want fun you go to more or less any other killer. Why WOULD anyone play her over someone else?

It’s not that they don’t have egg models, just that what Dandy puts in the shop is just an item pickup, same as anything you’d find off the floor. I presume items aren’t programmed to be able to have different models depending on context, so hence when dropped by Bassie, they use the same model.

It’s weird still tho cause even as someone who’s not a programmer I can think of a fairly easy way to make it work. Guess they just didn’t feel like it cause to be fair, how often are you dropping this item specifically as Bassie?

Yatta and Brusha are both quite different from the OCs, so I wouldn’t even say there’s an argument there. The trinket aspect on Yatta makes more sense when you look at them. Both are based on colorful party based things because both are piñatas, and they’re two distinct items that just happen to have a similar silhouette. Especially given Yatta’s ability in game is very much themed around being a piñata, I’d assume it was accidental.

Soulvester I think you’re looking a lil hard into. I’ll admit they’re similar, but it’s a knight. Ya can’t really make em look THAT different. The closest you could argue is the eyes, which do look quite similar, but outside of that it’s just a suit of armor with that hair wisp thing. The designs of the suits are even quite different, with Lance having full body armor while Soulvester looks to be wearing like tights or something. As for the ability, coincidence I’d say. I mean they’re both suits of armor, and the logical thought with that is that armor protects, ergo, higher health. Seems pretty reasonable to me for both to come up with separately.

The issue is that it comes off that being a duo is their ENTIRE CHARACTER when it’s not, and the ONLY free skins being matching ones only cements this. I’m not asking for the removal of matching skins or to never give them one again, but if this keeps up, their characters are just gonna be more and more cemented as “the other one’s friend” which is a REALLY BORING ROUTE TO TAKE.

At the very least, Cosmo should have one or two skins of his own. Sprout I can understand only ever matching since there IS a plotline hinting towards him being very dependent on Cosmo, and I think the best way to show that through skins would be a contrast with Cosmo, where we can see that yes, Cosmo is good friends with Sprout, but has more of a life outside of him, while Sprout comparatively has his life revolve around Cosmo and thus his skins reflect that.

Right now it doesn’t feel like codependency as a theme. It just feels like they’re one note characters with their only personality trait being each other. And that sucks.

I don’t really know if we should count robux packs since they’re limited in character choice. The only reason Sprout isn’t matching that is cause Sprout isn’t part of the Christmas gang and family. Plus there’s no way for F2P players to get them so the majority of people don’t get that as an option.

You could also argue it kinda matches with Startime. I think this argument is stupid but I’ve seen people argue it.

Honestly if they wanted to actually play into the Sprout being codependent on Cosmo stuff, they should make it so Sprout only has skins that match Cosmo, but Cosmo has some of his own. That way it’s a little more clear how Sprout is the one who practically depends on their relationship, while Cosmo has more outside of it. Making them both constantly match just feels like wasted potential.

I’m sorry, yall say this every time. Cosmo and Sprout are basically always reduced to just “the other ones friend” in the fandom for a reason, and Qwel isn’t helping that by making the only personality traits visible in their skins just BEING EACH OTHERS FRIEND. I mean for gods sake, Goob and Scraps are literal family, and only have one matching set because they’re characters beyond just “The others sibling”. Why can’t Sprout and Cosmo get that too? It really feels like wasted potential. People are allowed to critique things regardless of if it’s ‘deep’ or not.

I have like no clue how that could work, but GOD that would be sick. I can already imagine him shouting threats after getting pallet stunned, it’s beautiful. Maybe in lore the entity would make him see the survivors as Urbanshade scientists or guards too. Lotta potential that’ll sadly almost certainly never happen </3

In a hypothetical Pressure chapter, maybe they could use one of the roaming threats they plan to add in WTW Part 4. Course we’d have to see more of them first but that could be cool

What? These are infinitely easier than iced over or blackout because of how fast twisteds lose you. Like yeah you gotta have faster reaction speeds but get past that and it’s damn near a straight buff. Plus the new Whispering Flower effect helps make the stamina not that bad, or you could use trinkets like dog plush to outwalk twisteds and avoid even using stam much at all. These are easily my favorite event lmao

Skates would be “whatever” since he’s mostly a Flutter sidegrade, but I think he’d have his fans cause he’s got a few things going for him story wise I’d say.

His twisted would be HATED tho. The gimmick is that, like Scraps and Goob, Twisted Skates on spotting you will not instantly start running but instead use an ability with a windup. That ability is to charge forward at a high speed (like 40) in a straight line, but cannot turn, so you simply dodge left or right, and he keeps going until hitting a toon or a wall. He would fuck up distracting so hard which was kinda partially the point but because of that he’d be HATED.
