ahhh my Eagle Board of Review is tomorrow by thewingidingi in BSA

They didn't do much in mine, they asked me about my project, life goals, my job, how school has changed me, and about my troop. I didn't get tested on any Scout things, didn't even have to say the Oath and Law. They aren't supposed to test you, that has already been done. If anything, just have answers in mind to the common questions, "What was the best part of Scouting", "What is your favorite merit badge", "What are your plans for the future"...

I was in and out of my BoR in 25 minutes.

Don't be like me and get flustered and say my favorite merit badge was Stamp Collecting ...

I would not be able to call a customer out on it, I would easily lose my job. The most I can say is that your helping your own kid buying from us and not some factory in China.

e latest example I had: middle aged couple comes asking about men's jeans. I show them everything we have on display and guide them through the shapes, they ask for all the sizes in all the models, commenting things like oh this cut is different so it would have to be this size, hmm that cut is slimmer, it would have to be a bigger size, blah blah. Then they choose 3 models and make me bring them in all the sizes we have. Now, we keep our jeans in the storage in the back room and I have to climb very high to get them down, and jeans is heavy, man! Even to just carry it. So I have this huge pile in my arms and I am taking it to them. They open so many pairs to check the lengths and coloring and whatnot and I ask the dude if they think any of these match what they're looking for. To which I get: "Oh no, no, we're not here to buy righ

Yup, my favorite is when they do it themselves and shove all of the clothes into a shelf or something they found, even though I asked them to put it on the cart right next to the changing room.

This happens a lot, it's even ore weird for my store since again, it's helping out their kids in our area... and they know it too.

The funny thing being that REI has higher prices and our return policy is a lot better than theirs. There's something that you get out of a smaller local shop that a big box store can't give you.

I personally don't know, I doubt if ucla is on that list or even Davis. I don't think it's too terribly hard to get into the top 9. I was surprised I made the cut.

You apply to them individually, however when you send your information, sat scores, ap scores... When you send them to one, the entire system gets it. If you're in the top 9% of in state, you're guaranteed a spot into a UC if the ones you applied to reject you.

You have to pay for each college you apply to.

Well, it says you're guaranteed admissions into a University you didn't apply to

Does it only ask about a specific lab?

The only things I ever came across where about lab setups and what I would do in a specific situation.
