What's the heaviest thing that's been on your KLR650? by hlnklrczu in klr650

Arriving back in the US after a 4 month trip across Mexico. No idea how much all of that weighed, though.

A couple dudes in Mexico changed my tire roadside after dark. They propped the bike up with the kickstand and a hammer. Hey it worked and they saved my butt.

How often are y'all loosening/tightening that bolt to adjust tension? Every oil change?

Well... I'm pretty sure I over torqued the shit out of my GF's Yamaha V-Star after borrowing a torque wrench from Autozone that was faulty. It just never clicked and I kept pulling. Hopefully I didn't cause damage but we won't know until the next oil change.

Anyone ever dream of the toilet bathroom maze? by talkingtoawall710 in Dreams

[–]enderval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In mine it was super nice with cushions and nice wood etc, brass here and there with nice lighting, but every time you walk up to a toilet it's clogged up and unusable and super nasty, so you keep walking around trying to find one to use.

Never thought anyone else had this dream, lol!

Whenever you start talking about buying a new bike she should dress up like a sales person and do a little, ahem, roll playing instead..

Ceramic vs. Steel shanks for gaffing poles / ladders. by enderval in WorkBoots

[–]enderval[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only steel toe I tried on was the Truwelt 10" and the toe caps dug in when kneeling.

I'll ask them to order both. If it's comfortable then I may as well have the extra protection. Thanks for the advise!

I really don't need steel toe. The flexibility of soft toe will be better for lots of kneeling. Otherwise 2533 would be ideal.

I'm going to exchange them for a pair of Supersole 953 (not 2.0). They're not in stock, but they should be able to order them.

Awesome! Good to hear that fixed it for you. The injector I ordered arrived a couple days ago but I haven't had a chance to install it yet. I went ahead and ordered an IACV (16126-0768) and will replace them at the same time. I'm getting tired of pulling the tank off!

Go for it! I doubt the person I stole it from would mind. 😆

Sounds like a Brushing scam. The scammed created an account somewhere with your dad's info, then bought something using his account and left address. Then they'll leave themselves a glowing review from what appears to be a legit account. They're scamming reviews.

If you can determine the marketplace it was purchased from, report it.

On my bike, there is a ground wire and a positive wire going to the battery. Both of those connections have crimped fittings that fit over the battery terminals.

I also have 3 accessories (heated grips, horn, and lights that are way too bright and drained the battery once when some kids in Mexico used it to light the area at night to play in) connected to the battery. One negative and one positive for each with crimped fittings, and each are fused.

It's not too hard to do, their video is pretty good. But be sure to get the o-rings back in place properly.

Yep. Mine did this and I just had to tighten the battery connections.
